The thing about Endermen is they could screw up a lot of my redstone stuff if they move a whole bunch of blocks around. There is also a difference between a Creeper and an Enderman. Creepers have to be near you to blow up your stuff while an Enderman could just take a block about 60 blocks away from you without you knowing.
Most people don't want to wake up to an Enderman...

The make it so they cant grab redstonned blocks. Simple and done, I would love Endermen to move my house around just for everyone else to party in it. why? because it's survival and it needs to be DIFFICULT

Blocks can be used to block off two redstone trails from intersecting and I use that to compact a lot of redstone.
So peoples' houses don't get dismantled.
Random fact is random: Oddly enough, I was against the idea of endermen taking player-placed blocks until I read this topic.
I think that youve made a good point. and ill make one too. if people are complaining about endermen stealing theyre hard earned blocks, maybe itll make em think twice if they do get a block stolen. i support this idea. and these people are probobly the kind that get 9 diamond and make part of their building a diamond block. in other words, kinda stupid people.
dont build out of

I like all the mobs except creepers. I have a huge compound completely fenced off with torches everywhere for a reason, so i'm not bothered by mobs when i feel like building. Now you want to take that away...no thanks. Mojang seriosuly needs to add what mobs you want in your games from server properties or something. If you want mobs destroying what you built, that should be your option.
I think the abstract structures would be really cool if they focus on a single structure till they think its "done", not just placing em around. That way we can have weird archways and funny shaped towers :3 Put an Enderman in a wooden box and give him lots of dirt to play with, see what happens :biggrin.gif:
again.. I love how no one complains about creepers in this way.. (also endermen are suposed to be rare so the odds of them even comming in a hord around your house is unlikely) and it's not like you couldn't get your item back after the endermen placed it somewhere elce. (unlike creeper where they just blowup everything never to see it again)
I shouldn't need to point out that Endermen do their block rearrangement while idle. Creepers blow up when you're there. If you can't keep them from blowing up near your home its generally your own fault due to carelessness or a design flaw in their home. Big difference.
They seem not to be able to get more than one block , so even if it was in griefer aspect, it wouldn't really matter if it's just one, i doubt he'll go all the way into your house grabbing your walls.

Hehe, I found this entertaining. Anyways, what about the people who want to be creative in Minecraft and still play with monsters? I think endermen absolutely should NOT be able to move player palced blocks.
This is a game that, moreso than survival or challenge, is about creativity. It would hardly be fair or right to have Endermen inadvertently tear apart sections of your work in their quest to make a neat little pyramid.
Getting back to your work after stepping out to retrieve more ores/stone/whatever only to find that some Endermen spawned there and now you have to do cleanup from their presence isn't fun, its just a chore. You shouldn't be punished for something you have no control over. I'm glad he did this, as should anyone with a lick of sense.
Punished? Chore? How so? So you want to punish the Enderman for having some fun? Punishing the AI for finally being creative? You don't want to see the little cool things they built that you can easily replace within a blink of an eye? :blink.gif: Cruel cruel person!
You're basically punishing yourself and the Enderman at the same time by killing both yours and the Enderman's creativity. You won't let them build and you're not surviving properly haha.
If anything, seeing mobs walk off cliffs and pigs is quite punishing. All those wasted resources....
Oh, we forgot about the creepers! When they blow up our precious resoures are lost! Ssssss BBOOOOOOM!~
So wait this is an official tweet or what? Guess I better go see.
Love how most everyone here has the exact opposite mindset that there was before.

It's amazing how even splitting Minecraft back into creative mode and the soon renamed Adventure mode, people still seem to think the fact they like to stack pretty blocks together into pyramids means that nothing in the game is allowed to break or move blocks.
Oh well atleast now I can just say, "Creative would like to have a word with you.."

If you wake up to an enderman (Or even worse, EnderMEN), You would not stand a chance.

A small radius from redstonned blocks. Just because they grab your roof doesnt mean your automatic dispencer minecart is going to blow up

Nobody from Mojang has denied that they can pick up player-placed blocks.
