I actually do find it annoying that my dialect is being treated like a joke. If they're going to include alternate languages and dialects, they should be respected.
All this is is a trolly edit from some anonymous user. Hopefully Mojang will stop crowd-sourcing so liberally. I don't think the translations have ever been done properly.
If this is the language pack in its entirety, it should probably be removed. These "Easter eggs" are funny while they last, but at some point, the party has to be over and Mojang has to maintain professionalism.
...So? Has an English person ever been confused by the word color? As I said, the language option is pointless.
Then why not just remove US English and leave Canadian English if they're so similar?
Stop being so nationalistically discriminatory. Canada and the UK are countries just like the US is, and we deserve to have our languages represented equally.
Why does everyone insist that US English should be the norm, anyway? The game wasn't even made in the US.
Oh! Or how about we go to good ol' Wikipedia! (Skookum!)
By reading that Wikipedia page, I learned that a lot of things I hear every day are unique to my dialect. Neat.
For the record...Canadian English is not a dialect of English. It is almost exactly the same as US English, or any other kind of English, except for a few barely noticeable differences. So obviously, these differences are exaggerated, like adding "eh?" to the end of phrases in Canadian English, and if they wanted to have some fun with the upcoming addition of Australian English, they could add "mate" to the end of everything. Otherwise, having Canadian English, or any other kind of English, would be pointless.
It's Canadian English, but is this really necessary?
Remember kids, when the mod crashes delete system32!
This mod is the best.
So don't punch creepers next to your house..
The only thing I could think of it escanaba in da moonlight.

Hence the quotation marks. I'm just saying, they should address this, because it's really putting egg on their face.
Canada also uses these spellings. "Armour" instead of "Armor", etc.
Here's an informative link about the differences between UK, USA, and Canadian English.

How about the person that started this thread, and the two others that are defending it?
If you want some laughs, put pirate language on.
Exactly. Or just change the language files on your own computer, not for everyone.
