The recipe for a redstone lamp here, if anyone is interested:
Villager changes:
Villagers "In love"(Homo? I think not. I hope not.)
Baby Villagers:
Zombies attacking villages:
Bugs:
1. There seems to be no caves at all in new world. I've tried different worlds, I don't know if it's bad luck or a bug. Anyone able to confirm this? All the map viewers are broken in this snapshot due to new world format. This is confirmed. Only underground lakes, mineshafts, and lava lakes generate.
2. Mobs in the nether seem to spawn ontop of the bedrock lair -Noticed by khanador
3. Various lighting bugs.
Ocean floors are really bright. -Noticed by Puremin0rez
Breaking a block in the dark seems to cause everything to light up, there is no light source in this picture:
4.The End doesn't genterate, but still spawns an Enderdragon.- Noticed by Krova
I do not think there is any thrill that can go through the human heart like that felt by the inventor as he sees some creation of the brain unfolding to success....Such emotions make a man forget food, sleep, friends, love, everything.
I love the lamp, however I wonder if the button effect is a bug or just intended side effect, as you can't leave it in on state with a button. However a lever works fine enough and can be placed on the block. Looks so pretty too.

They actually said they are removing caves from generating.
I honestly hope the no cave deal is just a serious bug. If they intended to get rid of caves, then I'll just quit playing Minecraft. I loved the exploring aspect of the game, and it's pretty much non-existent if there are little to no caves being generated.
Hostile mobs don't appear to spawn much at all. I found a massive cave system on my new hardcore world (caves made in 12w06a) and the only thing I saw in there was an enderman. This cave was MASSIVE and it was midday.
Nighttime on the superflat (12w07a):
You're probably running into the lighting bug that people are experiencing. Daylight seems to penetrate underground, so that would keep hostile mobs from spawning.
I had a few zombies spawn inside the houses as well, but it's impossible to tell whether that's due to the natural darkness or the siege itself. (They broke down the doors and escaped before I could snap a pic.)
While traveling through a jungle (after generating the world a couple of minutes ago), I saw 2 baby ocelots walking behind their mum. I don't know wether this is new or not, but since animals all have the new A.I. system (mentioned in the list of changes) they might make babies themselves like villagers do?
I had seen wild baby ocelots before 12w07a, but it is possible that they might add wild animal breeding. I think it would cause overpopulation in animals without some kind of limit, though.
--------
Wow, the zombies appear so tactical during a siege. They form a big group, bash down a door, eat brains, then split up and hit the next two houses. My army has broken into about four groups now.
It's like some terrible game of trick-or-treat.
--------
Oh, the humanity!! They are relentless! Ruthless! I can't stop watching!
--------
I just swept for survivors. On Hard difficulty, there were none. It is a dark day for this village.

Someone want to tweet these bugs to Jeb?
Don't think ocean floors are supposed to be this bright...
This reminds me of Alpha lighting lol
They actually said they are removing caves from generating.
Where did they say that?
The lamp is on... but is it?!
The lamp is now off... wait a second!
Doesn't look like caves are spawning, but water lakes and lava lakes are. You can also see an abandoned mineshaft in that pic.
It's also worth noting that cloud height hasn't been increased along with the world height.
Check Jeb_'s tweet log, he said he isn't going to do this. He wants people to be able to build in the clouds.
I know that it was premeditated and intentional, but I think it's worth noting so that people don't think it's a bug.

Your Gods won't help you now.
Anyhoo, back on topic!
Apparently giant mushrooms are no longer spawning in the wild:
