As we all know, many potions can not be obtained normally. These are the unobtainable potions:
Potion of Haste
Potion of Dullness
Potion of Leaping
Potion of Nausea
Potion of Resistance
Potion of Water Breathing
Potion of Invisibility
Potion of Blindness
Potion of Night Vision
Potion of Hunger
Post what you think the ingredients will be for these potions.
Don't care much about effects, but grass seeds, lapis, animal meat, and possibly saplings could benefit from more uses. I have more grass seed than I could possibly have a use for at the moment, and have more meat from just trying to get enough leather for armor than I will likely use any time soon. Lapis also falls into that "nearly useless" category unless you like blue blocks or need dye. More uses for milk, webs, and bone meal might also be nice.
Potion of Haste - Sugar + something Apple
Potion of Dullness - Sugar + Spider Web
Potion of Leaping - Hm Slime Ball
Potion of Nausea - Cave Spider Fang + Mushroom + Rotten Flesh
Potion of Resistance - Bone Meal + Milk (Strong bones? lol)
Potion of Water Breathing - Something from an ocean plant? Seaweed + Something? Black Dye?
Potion of Invisibility - Hm... Ender Pearl perhaps
Potion of Blindness - Spider Eye + Something? Black Dye
Potion of Night Vision - Glowstone dust + Spider Eye? Eye of Ender?
Potion of Hunger - Cooked Rotten Flesh
Potion of Haste - Sugar + Hm...
Potion of Dullness - Perhaps this should be something that comes from being too hungry?
Potion of Leaping - Hm...
Potion of Nausea - Cave Spider Fang + Mushroom + Rotten Flesh
Potion of Resistance - Bone Meal + Milk (Strong bones? lol)
Potion of Water Breathing - Sponge + Something
Potion of Invisibility - Ender Powder + Nether-wort + Something
Potion of Blindness - Spider Eye + Something
Potion of Night Vision - Glowstone dust + Something
Potion of Hunger - Cooked Rotten Flesh
Man this is tough

I'm thinking that vegetation that currently doesn't have much use could be used. Like tall grass, leaves, flowers lilypads etc.
And perhaps some of the dyes. Like cactus green or cocoa beans (although a way to farm cocoabeans would be nice if we are putting it in a potion).
Or you could add additional drops to mobs like has ben done so far, but to mobs that only have one drop type or none. You could have: Testificate hearts, wolf teeth and pig tails etc.
Also we also do no have access to the more powerful variants of potions. Currently we can only get up to level II potions but I think the power level can go over 9000 up to 5 (I think it can go even higher but the effects can be a bit weird.)
And also potions that have multiple effects.
It would be awesome if the more powerful potions would have detrimental side effects. like a potion of strength IV would also cause nausea. Or a potion that can instant heal, and give you regeneration, also causes blindness.

Praise be to Spode.
I think rotten flesh will be a reagent.
Remember kids, when the mod crashes delete system32!
But that would mean a bunch of purposeless items with one unique use in minecraft.

Yes, but we need some more plant life, biome specific.

There wouldn't be an issue with more single unique use items but I agree it would be annoying.
