This is a common bug probably everyone has experienced. I have recently created a new map. And about twice a minute I get that bug where I move but I'm not pushing a single button. I would like it if this bug is fixed in 1.0.1. Thanks!
this is almost always caused by a buggy version of lwjgl. in reality all versions of lwjgl are buggy, just in different ways. the version that ships with 1.0.0 has the key sticking bug. I found that using lwjgl 2.7.1 worked the best for me.
an example of how to install the 2.7.1 of lwjgl:
fetch this: http://sourceforge.net/projects/java-game-lib/files/Official Releases/LWJGL 2.7.1/lwjgl-2.7.1.zip/download
then in your minecraft's bin/ directory, unzip these there (without paths):
lwjgl-2.7.1/jar/jinput.jar
lwjgl-2.7.1/jar/lwjgl.jar
lwjgl-2.7.1/jar/lwjgl_util.jar
and in minecraft's bin/native/ directory, unzip (also without paths):
lwjgl-2.7.1/native/YOUR_PLATFORM/*
when time comes that minecraft updates itself, you'll most likely need to install these files again.
It must be noted that LWJGL is not made or supported by Mojang. They have continued using the older version because they want to avoid incompatabilities between their code and the new versions. They will likely upgrade to a newer LWJGL once Minecraft is more polished and bugs are fewer and less crippling.

The Internet is a big place, friend. I've been places you've n͍̺e̩v̦e̦̰͍͓̩ͅr̜̭̝̬̬͉̤̬ ͙ịm̖͇a͍͇̤͙̥g̤̘i͔͖̤̼̪̬n͖͔̳̬̯e̩̘ḓ͈͔̠̙͇̼̯.͎
I don't think this is a bug, I think it is just a fault with your computer. Not sure how, but are you using a fairly old computer.
Edit: I didn't see the above post regarding lwjgl.
My reasoning comes from this happening to me before, in earlier versions of Minecraft. Could be the same thing though

I broke up with my ex girl. Here's her numbah........
SIKE! DAS DA WRONG NUMBAH!
It happens a lot to me when I tap keys often or when it's raining. Like said earlier, I just tap the key again to stop it, but usually the damage is already done. It's kind of a way to prevent you from standing near ledges and lava pits(unintentionally). :tongue.gif:

You wouldn't want to kill a poor little dragon would you? You monster?
