Hah, but anyhow, they're just based off the same model as the other baby animals. All babies in this game have magical mutant radiation heads that give them the power to talk funny and look cute.
The baby animals creator wanted Mojong to use his models when they contacted him about adding baby animals in the game. I still would have preferred them doing that.

Agreed, I want chickens to be the only animal to have a normal head. If Notch is too lazy to make them yellow, it's ok, but just make chick's heads smaller.
Wouldn't the babies still have separate models from the adults, though? I imagine it wouldn't take much to replace the texture of the chicks, at least. Not that I care anyway, I think its looks hilarious :biggrin.gif:
The code is basically just a statement that takes the original model and changes its proportions. This allows it to be universal as it will simply use the existing model for the mob. So if Notch and co were to create a new mob they wouldn't have to model a new baby animal from scratch, this code would automatically generate a baby mob with the same relative proportions (giant head, small body).
That said, if someone wanted to put a baby chick texture on the model it wouldn't be hard, wolves already swap through different textures depending on if they're wild, tame or angry.
Eh, I'm okay with the baby chicks, but their heads do seem just a bit too big. I like the big headed baby animals, but this just seems a bit excessive...
This is what baby chickens look like in Minecraft:
Unacceptable!

Normal-looking baby chickens are also cute.

I just wish he would restructure the code so the heads would scale also :/

I see the resemblance. Close enough.

Basically all they had to do was shrink the body and keep the head about the same size. Then you have a cutely deformed "baby".
