Alot of time has been put into the End by Mojang. After playing around in it, I felt that another dimention wasn't really that necessary. A couple of endermen and and enderdragon (boss mob?)... Do they really need a whole new realm? I don't think so. Why not simply inject these into the unfinished nether? Maybe make it a new biome in the nether? That way the Nether would actually be worthwhile. The End is nearly impossible to get to: Get 20 Endereyes, locate a stonghold... Alot of work for nothing. Two mobs and maybe a boss room. One new block. It just doesn't have much potential in my opinion. And I know what you're thinking: JEEZAS ITS AN UNFINISHED GAME AND NOTCH WILL DO WHAT THE HELL HE PLEASES!!!11!!!!1ONE. Then why did he make a 1.9 discussion section? If you're here to flame, please leave this topic.
So what do you think about the End? Should the endermen and enderdragon be made into the Nether? Would you like to see the end get more developped?
P.S: Why should the Endermen get their own world? Why not the more iconic creeper? Maybe it's just me, but I don't think this makes sense. If you want another mob in there, an all-creeper fight would be tons more badass.
I want The End to be more developed, and as of 1.9 Pre-release 5 the world is just a 5x5x1 obsidian platform. Anyone know where to locate The End's save file for a Minecraft sever?

It's a proven fact that logic doesn't stop Notch from making terrible design decisions. And askly nicely doesn't stop blind fanboys who overuse "it am not complete1!1!W!!1".
The purpose of The End is as a conclusion to the game's line of progression.
One of the things you could argue Terraria has an arm over Minecraft is that there was a lot more to "Do", and by "Do" I mean "Dig to place A to get gear A then Dig to place B to get gear B, etc." Of course Minecraft made up for this by having much more compelling construction, but really the purpose of the "Adventure" update was to bring this particular area up to par.
Anyways, the idea is that, by the time you can afford to find The End, you'll have the gear (plus enchantment and alchemy) to contend with an extremely difficult mob, that's the point of it; to justify all the power you've acquired, which is why it doesn't really offer anything from a practical standpoint.
I do feel that the Nether and the End should both be as complicated and involved as the normal world if not more so. All three dimensions also need many more rewards for exploring them as well.
If you want to compare it to Terraria, Marohen, then Terraria has a lot more rewards for exploring and going places than that pre-release gives Minecraft. There's just very little depth to exploration in MC.

Notch does ANYTHING on these forums? Since when are these "official" forums...just asking

And you're quite right in that regard, Terraria's "Gamey" aspects are a lot more deep then what minecraft presently provides, I'm really not in contention over that point, but I'm stating that minecraft is trying to push itself closer to that bar as of late which is why The End exists.
I don't want millions of new items and ores and stuff, that's why I dislike the aether. Why use coal when you can have some other random yellow thing like it? The End has it's ups and downs, but I assume it will progress just like the Nether will.

So what do you think about the End? Should the endermen and enderdragon be made into the Nether? Would you like to see the end get more developped?
Nope I totally agree.. couldnt' care less about it. wish they would have put more time into new blocks and crafting items in the main world instead and improved the nether fortresses.

There is nothing wrong with the end.
No I dont't sorry :S
Yes I did see it. I never said I wanted them in the real world. I simpy said I wanted them in the nether.
How is a couple of blocks that look like cheese cool?

I haz a SIGNATURE
I agree 100%

How badass would it be if they actually impemented the aether? :biggrin.gif:

I'm sure he reads them from time to time.
2.) It's essentially the "End", hence its name. It's the final realm for the boss battle with the ender dragon. Chances are, it will be updated.
3.) It isn't finished.

Honestly, do you actually think it will be finished? I would prefer a FULLY finished Nether than two unfinished realms.
I damn well hope so.
I think the nether is finished. It shouldn't have as much stuff as the normal world.
If you ask me, the 2 other realms should be places where you can go to get things that make your life easier when in the regular world.
If you could get ores and food and whatnot easily in the nether, why ever go to the normal world? Same with the End.
The Nether and the End are dangerous places you can go to get certain benefits. They should be little more than that.
