Notch did not say "perhaps" a user named 'cptqwashi' said:
Later Notch said:
This confirms:
- The name "Ender"
- This is the homeland of the Endermen
- There will be "Enderdragons"
Note that confirmation does NOT mean that things are not subject to change.
Also note that "home" and "only place you can find them" are not the same thing. My home is Ohio, however I have been known to be found in many parts of the US. Endermen can obviously travel to the Overworld.
Actually I have seen no confirmation that the new portals in the strong hold are even for the new "Ender" there could be two new relms for all we know.
But assuming that they are:
As of yet, ender pearls are needed to travel to the new relm. The portals to that relm are found in strong holds, parts of them are damage and must be repaired with the ender eye. This means the Endermen, and the ender pearl they drop must be available outside of the "Ender".
You fool he edited his post to save his face cause we were right, but instead of saying he was right he pretends like it always said that.
It used to say that "enderman will be transferred there" (paraphrased of course)

I am a "She". And I did take that out. I made that assumption that "home" meant that is where they would be. My mistake was assuming that other people made the same assumption. It's fixed. Move on. Calling people names is not cool by the way.
Anyway, I was kind of hoping for more Nether content before Notch introduces a new dimension, even with the Nether ruins, the Nether still seems like it is missing something. I would say it is about half way there...
Interesting. Perhaps this can explain why Endermen pick up and move blocks, as they teleport from the Ender (magical floating islands realm above the clouds) in the cover of night to gather materials (landmass, flora and... TNT..) and return to Ender come daylight to keep their realm from falling apart.
Hopefully a moderator can edit all of these posts to remove all of the confusion people are having so we can get back on topic.

EDIT: As expected a moderator did clean up some posts. I am psychic.
I agree, the nether needs much more. More mobs, more useful resource, just plain more.
And yes a mod does need to go through and edit it all. XD
Well the problem was he then seen our posts and think we were idiots for trying to correct you earlier.... but now everyone hopefully is on the same page so we can drop it... would be easiest if all the old posts got removed cause I expect more people will do the same....
Some new ores would add a lot more depth to the Nether. I would actually spend way more time and build an actually base if this happened.
idk, I think that it might offer a different form of progression in the form of potions, while I definitely wouldn't mind some more ores, like... any, even one, it still offers a way to advance from the Nether.

No I bet its just gonna be same as nether nearly useless unless you wanna craft some RPG junk.

Backstory is always good, I like it. Perhaps in that relm any block exposed to the sun for to long has a chance of going "poof" and gone. So the Endermen have to constantly repair it to keep there world intact.
"Ender" is a terrible name. If the inhabitants of the realm are called "Enders" then the realm should be called "The End."
I must agree, "The End" would be more appropriate name, though confusing to new players. They would think reaching "The End" meant they won the game :wink.gif:
To my understanding the "Farlands" are now a giant endless ocean as of 1.8. Not nearly as interesting, but still technically the Farlands I suppose.
Terrain continues normally until about +/- 25,000,000, then tapers to ocean, and at 30,000,000 you lose control of your character and have to use NBTedit to move him back or delete the world.
Ahhh yeah I see that it did. *sigh*

What the hell are you talking about? I am refuting his claim! The post above me had a great idea. . .
Where is that ignore button?
EDIT: that is, the post right above your last post of idiocy.

I'm talking bout the OP Originally he say the enderman are being transferred there. Meaning they won't be in the normal world no more...

Thank you.

Yeah, the name should and probably will be the end.
Ya, the OP said something stupid.
I refuted it.
You called me a fool for it. Even though you were trying to say the same thing as me.
The OP retracted that statement after realizing her mistake.
She is forgiven.
You are NOT.

The Sky Dimension is the new Far Lands! Only with different ****ed-up terrain!
Hey, without the FL, we need SOME kind of bizarre terrain. The Nether is almost normal now in comparison, so I feel lacking.
But the Farlands still exist. What would you call the current Farlands if you named the sky dimension Farlands???

Personal experience.
