Easier as cake. Just put the .zip file in your .bin, delete the jar, and open up the entire folder in winrar. Then delete the .zip extension at the end of the 1.9prerelease2 file, and type in .jar instead.

I tried doing this, but when I exit the file, it stays a .zip file. Is there a way I can save it as a .jar file?

Super Hostile maps I've completed: Spellbound Caves (Yeah, I pretty much suck.)
its really the easiest way to handle it. Just download from the same link with google chrome or firefox and it'l still be a .jar file and work right away

Yeah, that's your solution, using internet explorer isn't as blatantly idiotic as some make it to be, but there's no reason not to use something else as long as you know not to download stupid **** from websites you've never heard of, IE gives you an extra layer of idiot proofing, mostly unnecessary.

You literally just need to change the last 3 letters to jar.
atleast i think thats right. I just downloaded it from the forums. All I had to do was hit save find my minecraft bin folder, and that was it.
