Exactly what I am thinking. Also, I heard a drawer being pulled or chest open, and something being slapped on to a table or something, like some sort of portfolio or folder.
I did hear something opening, like a chest, but so far I haven't heard anything being slapped on to something. Could just be him closing the chest.
*Edit* After hearing it some more times I did hear something being slapped on to something.
Ok,lets try to find out what is going on
First thing that happens is
He is running away from something///////////////////////////Maybe a mob, nobody knows
And then he's looting something/////////////////////////////Maybe a chest?
He lights up the place using flint and steel////////////////Is he in a dark place?
He is in a small place, cuz he's like coughing a lot/////////No notes for this
He gets a book and start reading it/////////////////////////In strongholds there is a lot of bookstores, maybe thats it!
He see something, light the place off////////////////////////Maybe is a person?
He start running like crazy/////////////////////////////////Maybe the mob that was chasing him?
He walks on dirt?///////////////////////////////////////////Hes on the surface
Dogs?///////////////////////////////////////////////////////I dont now...
Random notes!
He sounds like he's walkind on some kind of hard stone or wood, one of the miner from those abandoneted mines?
I think that the "dog" sounds aren't dogs/wolves, but the mob that was chasing him, since it ends right after it (since the mob most likely kills him).
I just listened to 13 and 11 at the same time, not only was it creepy, but the songs went very well together. Sounds like 13 is the "backround" music to 11 to me, or something like that.
Whatever it was it had to have been smart enough to use flint and steel itself the second time you hear it it sounds like something else is doing it instead of the main person we hear.
More likely, it sounds like howling wind. Could the man/woman in this record be an explorer or former minecraftian exploring the skylands? He/she possibly was lost in a floating islands cave and was trying to get out, panics, and ends up falling off, or is being chased by something.
It seems very much like he/she is being chased. Unless they ran out of food, no minecraftian (except someone who is maybe brand new) panics in a cave and falls of a floating island after rushing out.
As far as being linked to 13:
I'm not sure. There doesn't seem to be much of a correlation between the two. One is someone/something running, and the other is paranormal/evil sounding music.
> Someone is running through a cave, panicking, and finds themselves in a stronghold library that intersects the cave with the wolf they brought with them for protection.
> Out of torches, they use flint and steel to light a nearby block on fire (maybe a bookshelf?). He coughs as a result of the smoke. (It might be a torch instead of F&S, but the number of metallic scraping sounds seem to suggest the latter)
> He picks out a book from the shelves and flicks through it.
> He hears a noise and hurriedly douses the flame so he isn't seen
> He realises he's been discovered and flings the book aside, running back into the cave he was in before.
> He hits a dirt patch and keeps running OR he reaches the outside of the cave and exits onto grass or dirt.
> As the monster follows him out, he gets a single hit on the assailant (although there is no sound to suggest this) and his wolf springs to his defense, leaping for the attacker (hence the growling). He drops the recorder he has with him and it rewinds.
So yeah. Another variation would be to substitute the stronghold with a Nether cave (so he lights netherrack on fire) and change the book to a map (as he maps the new and strange terrain). As he runs from the cave, he comes across a gravel patch.
However, I'm not entirely sure whether dogs can be brought into the Nether...

On another note, we should hope for a record 12 to come out at some point in the near future, possibly linking the two.
I hope that Mojang decides to use them as a sort of backstory to some former adventurer. But they should stick to the creepy, sort of just "off" feeling of the records. Not scary, but not blatantly disturbing either.
Find some way to make it just feel like something is wrong with these records. The don't necessarily need to stay seemingly evil, but they should hint at something dark and mysterious, and should just have a feeling of wrongness about them.
Heck, record 1 coud be a former adventurer first spawning, record 2 could be him settling in, and record 3 could be some happy moment.
But they should always have something about the that just seems off and uncomfortable. Nothing obvious - except in the later records - but still enough to make you wonder.
i have no clue about 13 but i know track 11 sound's like a dragon not herobrine as many people think because if you listen carefully it sounds like something flying in the middle and at the end you here a roar and notch even said he will add in dragon's one day!!!!!

I don't fully discount dragons, but I definitely discount it possibly being Herobrine. Notch/Jeb would need to do an insanely good job to have Herobrine be accepted by a majority of the community.
That being said, I don't think it's a dragon. The record seems far darker than that. There is something else intelligent in Minecraftia than you (and possibly endermen). THe question is whether or not it is still there, and if it acknowledges you.
Okay guys here's my 2 cents. I believe that it's Herobrine. Okay so first, no endermen, no stronghold. This was in 1.6, long before Notch probably even thought of these. Okay so here's my idea:
This person is Steve or a person before Steve. When a new person comes around, currently Steve, Herobrine attacks. This explains 11 where the character is running from some THING. I'm curious, where did the records come from? The creeper only dropping it after getting shot by the skelly and then ripping the skin and the records falling out. There's plenty of dungeons, some explored by the previous people, the records in the chest are from dead explorers. Maybe all of them are musicians or just recording they're feelings and these are the audio representatives of those emotions. Maybe 11 represents fear? This may be nonsense to you but it's logical to me.
Facts:
1: At the end, some can hear the person saying "Herobr" then it gets cut off.
2: People claim he tries to escape to the Nether. The Nether was releasedwhen this was made.
3: Herobrines been around FOREVER!
Other Idea: The person made a portal to the Nether, nit knowing where it went, or if it was safe, ETC. He kept putting off exploring it. He's just working when something unnatural (Herobrine) attacks. He has no choose but to go into the Nether. He's exhausted and the last word he says is "Herobrine"
If you read all this, thanks. Leave your reponcea to mine.

Let's suffice to say I don't think using frickin flint and steel is going to light moss on fire...
I found two links:
1. They are both numbers.
2. They are both creepy
Note: I listened to all the .mus files ages ago. I think in late 2010 when they were added to the folder.
Herobrine isn't real. It isn't Notch's brother. That was just a livestream trick. Why do people believe everything unexplainable to be herobrine's doing! 11 could be a TESTIFICATE for all we know. When he got out of the cave, he might of found out that he turned into squidward.
Everyone knows Herobrines fake, but he's so well known that even Notch or c418 could have some fun with his charater and the mystry behind him.

I had to shut it off using the task manager.

If you ask me, it sounds like one of two things.
Either the sound of a wolf (Unlikely)

I used to be known as Scizor on the MC forums. I run a pony Ask blog!
