In previous Minecraft updates, the prerelease was given to small, trusted groups of players that would give Mojang feedback and critique on the new content that was coming in. This time, that's changed. The prerelease was given to the public, but what didn't come across is that the prerelease includes the stuff that won't make it into Beta. :huh.gif:
What game developers (or any product developers, for that matter) like to do is test their products before they market them. That way, the final product isn't filled with things to complain about or things that the customers just won't go for.
When we look at prerelease 1.9, we're not looking at the final product. We're not even looking at the beta version. We're looking at the version that comes before all the bad features are weeded out or changed for the better. It's not like Mojang is going to stick with the things that their testers (WE THE PLAYERS) are putting down. The 'bad' features are exactly why developers still need time before they release seemingly finished products.
THE BIG, BAD POINT:
OF COURSE some features are gonna suck. That's the whole point of testing the product, and WE ARE the testers. If it doesn't work, the developers either get it to work or throw it away altogether. YES, they want criticism. YES, they want to know what they can do to improve the game. What they do NOT want is for their testers to leave or lose hope just because they don't like the test version. It's not as if popular games like God of War and Call of Duty were just made that way without, at some point, sucking. You're the testers, people. Just realize that. :dry.gif:
What the **** is wrong with you people ? Every update sucks 1.8 SUCks 1.9 sucks EVERYTHING SUCKS. Then why the **** did you buy the game is you hate it ? Stop to be annoying whiny bitches. When you bought the game there was saying "You are paying for game that it currently is" so stop whine suck here suck there and enjoy what you have got. Minecraft cant just be searchign for ores killing monsters searching for more ores starting new world and doing same thing again.

Well I think it was Jeb who said that here comes the pre-release, will work on fixes and features after feedback on the forums... (something like that) What is so appalling about "most" people that play this game is they want this stuff early because they can't wait. They get tired of a lack of updates so they complain. Then they want stuff early and then they complain. Now they are complaining about updates too soon.. in this case a pre-release that no one is forcing you to get.
Everyone seems to have such high expectations that they are constantly let down by anything that is released, they seem to think it has to be perfect as soon as it comes out. Minecraft being so user specific creatively is always going to lead to unhappy people. Remember this is Notch's vision not yours (the players)

Test the game, don't whine and say you're never playing Minecraft again. I always get a laugh out of that.
