I found a weird bug with arrows. I made an archery range, with wool target. 2 wool stacked on top of each other. When you shoot them with an arrow, the arrow sticks but goes to the top of the block instead of where it was shot.
Not sure if it's been mentioned but a pretty serious SMP issue. At a random point, spawn will completely reset, even a couple thousand blocks away from the original spawn. You'll spawn here regardless if you have a bed or not. For my server, it went from a small platform we had made to the middle of a large ocean. If any of us died we ended up there, nobody had thought to check the coordinates so we're completely lost.
It's apparently been happening to others as well, yet the problem hasn't even been addressed.
bug name: minecraft.jar being occupied
description: I don't know if anyone else has been getting this but only recently, when i try to edit my minecraft.jar file to install a mod, it doesn't let me and the only reason it gives me is that it is being used by another process.
I'm not an idiot, I always close Minecraft when i install mods.
my minecraft.jar wasn't open in any other file editing proram and i even deleted my MCP just incase.
still no luck so I quad ripple searched the processes in task manager for anything that might be using the minecraft.jar folder.
system: Windows vista 32 bit
Edit: this might be a secret friday update to stop mods but i cant see why mojang would do this
Bug Name: Double Doors Bug (12w01a)
Details: Pressure plates cause one of the doors to remain open when the pressure plate isn't active.
System: 64-bit Mac OS X
this is not a bug, it is simply how doors work.
with double doors, the door on the right is not actually a backwards version of the normal door, it is just a normal door that is rotated 90 degrees and the state its in is actually open, it looks like its a backwards, closed version of the left hand side but try taking the left door out and making a frame around the door the other way, then apply redstone current (your pressure plate). you will see that it is just a door that has been rotated 90 degrees and is open. to fix the problem with redstone, the door on the left can be powered normally but the signal powering the door on the right must be the oposite. if you dont know much about redstone, look for a tutorial on youtube.

Vanilla Minecraft v1.1 will show a Chunk-Grid under the Ice when you have Fast-Graphics Mode enabled. This happens in both Creative and Survival Modes. The Grid goes away whenever Fancy Graphics is on then returns when Fast Graphics is reenabled.
Normally this only happens when the META-INF folder has been deleted from the minecraft.jar. I checked the jar and the META-INF folder and contents are there as they should be.
