I really though Mojang was going to throw an easter egg feature or two into the final release. Wouldn't that have been fun? I know it would have been fun.
I was theorizing it would have been having the dragon egg be hatchable upon returning to the real world. Anyone try that yet? It seems really weird to make that available in the release without any function. Granted, they could add a function whenever they want, but this is 1.0! Effin Ell!
In response to my own post, YES, I understand that all the 1.9 feature were never technically official releases, so all of those features should be thought of as 'new and exciting stuff' for the release, but really, anyone who plays the game already knew about all of that content, and its the 'oh so this is what they've been up to at the office for the past two weeks' moments that make this game so enjoyable. it just seems strange that 1.9 was more exciting than 1.0, and I'm now looking forward to 1.1 content more than 1.0. I guess 1.0 is just really about the release party hubabaloo, but, meh.
Question: Why is a forced update required, as opposed to the "normal" way, with the update being listed in the launcher and said update being automatic-ish?
Single pieces of redstone with nothing to connect to are now dots, not plusses in 1.0.0. Also present in RC2, but in the OP there is no mention of it (unless I overlooked something). No other redstone things seem to be changed. Here's a couple of pictures of what I'm talking about:

EDIT: It also seems enderman now chase after the Dragon in 1.0.0. I'm not sure if that's new, but I don't think it was in PR6.
In the newest minecraft update i found a HUGE bug.I was building a table then my blocks started turning invisible,so then i went to break them and then a weird shape that was hallow and had no side walls appeared. It wasn't made out of blocks and it was weird textured. Anyone find this before?
the invalid server key error gets annoying , very annoying
post a screenie for us :smile.gif:
Well,The thing is right when i saw it,i got so scared that i closed my minecraft. So i couldint get a screen shot.but i'll explain what it looked like. It was orange and purple and it had like gray stripes. It was a hollowed out rombus (4 sided diamond) and it was on the table. It was creepy

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the new sounds....
•The Bow not having it's cool draw-back sound or hard pchaw! sound when fired... now it has a pew pew sound and there's NO draw-back sound at all, which is super lame and not nearly as cool.
•The ambiguous damage sound now constantly makes it seem as though you're breaking your bones no matter what. I was drowning and I heard the bone breaking sound. Not cool. 'Kinda miss the old ambiguous grunt sound...
•TNT now, instead of a KAPOOOW! sound, now is more like kapushhhh. Not cool.
They didn't designate the old door sound to anything else, and now the doors, hatches, and fence gates all have that weird sound. I don't mind it as mich with the doors and gates, but the hatches should have the old sound.
I like how a bunch of people who obviously haven't played in the pre 1.9s or the RCs are suddenly trying to post stuff here. And half the time they're still wrong... >.>
Honestly I can't find anything new from RC2. Sheep still don't grow back their wool (darnit)and nothing seems changed, so I guess we wait until the next release with all new stuff!!! Or people start modding the crap out of Minecraft, now that it shouldn't change so much.
There's a mistake in the OP-
colored sheep have a 100% chance of colored babby. However, if the two sheep you mate are different colors, then it's a 50-50 as to which color you get. As a note, white sheep count as "colored" as well. So if you make a large fenced area with sections (as I have) with specific colors in each section, you can get as much wool as you have wheat.
But, since they don't regrow wool, you may end up with about 500 sheep in a relatively small area. Then you go in with a sword, I tend to gain about 3 lvls each cleaning period.

Yeah it's annoying with reports of the stuff that has already happened.
Okay, I'm a bit confused because I keep hearing contradictory things about whether or not servers work with the full game.
On the first post, the "server" download, is that meant for multiplayer servers or am I missing something? If not, then how can we update our server to the newest release so that my friends and I may finally be able to run into The End, screaming our battlecries of Leeroy Jenkins?
The "server" is for...servers. And that's the most recent.

Very bizarre.
Standing on lillypads was on RC2. I did it on my gameplay!
Yeah because you totally are not in creative.

Rofl, my friend sent that screenshot, didn't know exactly if was true.

THis happened to me too. But after a few days the spawner started working again.
been like that for a little while. All mobs don't attack you in creative unless you hit them.
spiders, ghasts, and silverfish still attacked you before
