I really like the idea of Pigmen in the overworld and Zombie Pigmen in the Nether. I also think Pigmen would be ideal if you can't communicate with NPCs. It's an easy way to work around that limitation.
"you don't speak pig!"
Having different towns filled with different races would be fun too though (even if it was just aesthetic).
i think humans but in the nether thers pigmen villages or forts and there more civilized than zombie pigmen then have
them have cages with some sort of fire goblin
It would be fun to see how people mod the game to modify the relationships between all these creatures.
I bet there is one person, aside from me, that're thinking of making pigmen slaves to humans, And on occasion, you get to see a Pigman owner kill their pigman slave because they aren't doing their job.
That would be most horrific and add to the long list of nightmares already in Minecraft, lol
I think that villages should have mixed of all but like goblins are thieves and criminals and pigmen are like the security and humans are just people walkin around and if you kill humans in a village you will be chased by pigmen and if you kill goblins you will be given prizes
No game has pigmen in it, so pigmen would be great, especially if we could like talk to them and they could understand us, so they are just like humans, except they are pigmen, so.. imagine... a night elf and a human, we can understand night elves, but they are racially different.
So... pigmen would be beast, and we could sell to them our mooshrooms (Mushroom cows, not proven tottally yet, might of just been a texturepack / mod) and our nether spices (Hope!) and our... yeah... we could work for them I guess, I'm not sure but I know that it will be very challenging to code, so we can't expect everything.
I personally think that on the normal over world there should be Pigmen villages and Goblin villages, Goblin villages would always be hostile in this ideal vision of mine, and Pigmen villages would start out neutral and if you give them resources or slay a monster that is terrorizing the village via quests with the town leader they would give you goods or services in return, but if you do bad things, IE destroying houses they would turn hostile.
In the Skyworld there should be villages of elves, or some other sort of magical being, that (insert what I said about Pigmen but with harder tasks and better rewards.)
In the Nether, I think the Zombie Pigmen should at least be given small villages or forts, but they remain as they always have, things that leave you alone if you do the same to them, nothing more.
So yeah, that's just what I think. I'd still be fine if the Pigmen were the only ones, and they were just there for the sake of populating villages, I'd just think it would be cooler if all my hopes and dreams come true... Probably not though.
Humans because in sp I want to trade with people and stuff. Maybe even go on quests like retrieve a lost pickaxe from a mine. Maybe just maybe get followers and the like. Just a thought. NOTCH READ
I want humans, by far. Every other proposal I have heard is completely ridiculous (especially the pigmen, sorry). Hostile villages with goblins or something would be cool, but they shouldn't be the only kind of village out there.
I have this feeling I'll be attempting some heavy modding with the villages, in general.
It would be awesome if there was something like shapeshifter people pending on weather/time of day say night time they change to a peaceful creepers to confuse you. You would need to search for one that followed you :unsure.gif: . Would be a challenge harder then tackling a cavern with cave spiders :mellow.gif: .

This.
I would love to see more RPG elements added to the game, such as villages, trading, quests, etc. Minecraft currently gets boring rather quickly, and things like this would help alleviate some of that. Some ideas of my own: Maybe have a reputation with each individual village? It could have hostile, neutral, and friendly zones on it, and the village could change between them depending on your behaviors with them, and some behavoirs (eg. killing them) would cause it to drop more than others. So, for example, if you trade with a village and help it with things, it will become friendly to you, and you could have more privileges in that village. However, if you hurt the villages people, your reputation will lower, and killing them will make it plummet. You would automatically have some reputation in the village, so some villages are welcoming when they meet you, while others are wary and will take longer for you to become friends with.
Also, you could have villages be able to make special blocks/items for trading that you can't get anywhere else, so that trading with them seems more worthwhile.
Of course, these should probably have an on/off switch when making a world, similar to the Generate Structures option there is now.
I hope it's pigmen.
The AI will be limited, and having humans would make them annoying unintelligent humans, and we'd be forced to read boring text.
Pigmen with limited AI will be mysterious and fun, and we can try to interpret their odd actions and strange squeals and grunts. And they can communicate with such and also chat bubbles filled with a single icon of an item for what they want from you.

I don't want that to happen to Minecraft :tongue.gif:

BTW Humans were planed before the pigmen. it's mostlikely going to be humans, not pigmen.
Ant it'll be silly to have pigmen, because there'll be blacksmiths like jeb said in one of his tweets and other people, like warriors or something.
Why can't pig men be blacksmiths or warriors?

"sometimes, wizards are so awesome, it hurts"
This.

Would rather have it vanilla though
