When I see logic gates being created from simpler materials, people often ask what we can do with them. To show how logic gates can work, and what they can be used for, I usually construct a seven segment display as a proof of concept and an example.

How to use:
1. Input 4 digit binary number (right to left increasing)
The first thing you see is the control panel. The black blocks behind the half tiles represents binary digits. If you leave it alone, it's 0. If you delete it, it's 1, and you see a white block.
2. Run the computer
On the left, there is a gold ore block with gravel on top, and a coal ore block with sand on top. Delete the gold ore block to start the computer immediately. Delete the coal ore block for a delayed start.
3. Get to the other side
Follow the orange/glass trail, until you reach the balcony thingie. If you run fast enough, you will have to wait a bit for the digit to appear.
Features:
-4 digit binary to hexadecimal digit converter
-no omen or any other map editor (yea I manually built everything out of a default generated map)
-no glitched sand
-AND gates made out of flowers and shade
-logic matrices
-series of tubes
-flower murder
I would love to see diagrams of how this works but inevitably I will not understand. Any if by some miracle I do understand i will try to make a two digit display.

i used to mess around with this thing called the "sodaconstructor" ages ago. its basically a 2d physics game. anyhoo, a while back there was this sodacomputer craze. this brings me back to the goodoll days... making the digital to physical conversion is interesting none the less. they operate with a speed like those room sized computers back in the 70's. lmao

Give me an internet, or Chuck Norris will kill you!!!
I have to agree, EPIC!
Nice work there.
I've never thought of using plants, or that water has a shadow...
So now AND, NOT and NOR gates are possible using Omen or hex editing. If we find a small XOR gate, then we'll have long long signed int (128-bit) adders pretty soon :biggrin.gif:

<Quatroking> Minecraft is a dozen of puppies and kittens smashed into cubes, then mixed up with a few ounces of pure liquid rainbow and after that it spends two hours in the oven. Ready to be played by another drooling ten-year old
I enjoy breaking it. It's hilarious to see delicate electronics drencehed in lava, and flooded.
Ah, the joys of single player...
