This was a great server. I had formed an alliance, had a huge castle on a hill with turrets, palisades, battlements, redstone defenses, and secret rooms. Having a grand old time then BAM, rollback. All my work was gone. All my valuables I had placed in chests were gone. Let me know when this isn't an issue anymore, and I'll come back.

you have to be very careful with perks for donations. Some people might enjoy "pay to win" games but I never look back at them.
I have no problem donating reasonable amounts of money for good servers,and I have but I won't play at all on a server that makes donors too OP. Even as a donor its NO FUN.
I see you have to give people Something for their money, and to entice the ..younger children that like the concept of unfairness. Balance here is important.
Subscriber perks are alright as long as it doesn't make a huge gap between non-paying and paying players.
No free items should be given out to subscribers. Some servers do things like give out unlimited lava tiles and such... Yeah don't do that.
Some subscriber commands might be nice though like /sethome or /home just so there is an incentive to actually dish out some cash. Personally I don't think /spawn should be a command since that just gives more incentive to spawn camp newbies and then just /home across the map to escape which is pretty lame. Also it would be nice if there could be a way to set a timer on /home after one types it in since it's pretty lame when people use the command to escape other players in PvP. Chest protection is something that should never be implemented since it ruins the entire "true" PvP experience this server has been advertising!

Yeah I was a bit angry at the rollback too. The connection in the game is really great, but it's kind of annoying that these rollbacks keep occurring when the "server backups" happen so frequently for some reason.
i donated to this server and it WAS good until they took off mobs completely... now..eh dont waste your time kind of a buzz-kill to log in and see that there is no mobs
We've found and banned two hackers, so your experience should be somewhat more pleasant now. The mobs were disabled because with roughly 50 people on, we were spawning around 4000 monsters, and it was destroying the server load. We're happily running at 40+ now without a single hiccup. Enjoy the lag free PvP! (And when I say lag free, I mean flawless)
For those of you that don't frequent our forums (http://www.hakaslak.com) we have discontinued the idea of a member-only bank! We always will listen to the community on matters like this, and we appreciate the feedback. Rest assured, your valuables will stay at risk indefinitely!
Members will recieve /home initially. This will include a 10 second delay on casting that will cancel the process upon taking damage. When I heard the outcry against some of the perks, we sat down, and really looked and what we can do. Eventually, we figured out a way to implement /home, and I talked to Os about it, who, for those of you who don't know, is our dedicated plugin programmer who is working very hard to bring you the very best experience. Hopefully you guys enjoy these changes as much as we think you will. You can thank Os (or any of us, really) on our forums, because he does a lot of work without being paid for any of it. He's definitely a driving force behind this community, even if he IS a bit quiet. <3
Finally, to the people who felt the pain of a rollback, all I can say is that this is a fairly new server, and while we're quite proficient at what we do, issues are bound to arise as we get what the community wants working. Sometimes a snowball turns into an avalanche on a server that got this popular this quickly, and issues appear almost out of nowhere. We'll strive to make this an even more stable environment for you to play in as we move forward. Currently it looks like there are huge issues that would cause a rollback. We've identified the main source of server pressure, and everyone should be enjoying quicker saves and nearly zero downtime.

Yes, mobs are only temporarily disabled until we can figure out a way to disable their spawns issues.
With 50 players near each other, the game was spawning roughly 4000 monsters. This was causing some serious issues with connections for one reason or another, and the server software would simply stop sending information for a couple of seconds, causing lag spikes. Right now, we're running smoother than a babies bottom. Come see for yourself!
