Bloodbath is a survival PvP server from Hakaslak.com that focuses 100% on PvP and PvP only. You are forced to fight to survive against every other player on the server. Bloodbath is currently in Beta stages as we test interest in a server based purely off PvP. Let us know what you think after playing in this thread or at hakaslak.com. We currently run a nearly Vanilla server at the moment because of the new changes to addons in Beta. We use cuboid to safeguard the starting zone and DeathAlert to let everyone see those awesome kills.
PlayerA dies to PlayerB's fists? Yes please.

At Hakaslak.com, we understand what makes a Minecraft server run well. Currently, the code that Notch writes is pretty unoptimized, and because of that, we get really high amounts of data being sent between the server and any given player. For an example of how large the amount of data is, every Xbox Live game has to be rated at 8kB/s or below in order to be certified. Minecraft sends an average of 150kB/s per player.
With that in mind, we have a huge line dedicated to this server. If you're interested in something like this, we encourage you to play as much as you can until Sunday, where we'll be looking at how many people are really interested in a server like this!
Have fun killing each other, and show your support for a pure PvP based server and tell your friends!

I've played on Morfus' server that didn't have ANY mods. Please, follow his path. Don't add mods. He's already created a successful PvP world and I can tell you, no one camps the spawn. (He did have to place torches and bedrock just so it would encourage players to mine outside of the spawn and they didn't get owned by mobs when they spawned at night.) The whole objective in PvP is to build your base, by either joining with other players, or to search and raid others. Obviously, there's nothing of a value at the spawn so spawn-killing people isn't even in the least bit "fun" Smart people will build hundreds of blocks away, in the vast unknown, so they can set up there. On Morfus' server, I did that and so did 3 other people.
Believe me, if you want an awesome PvP server, keep it clean. Don't add mods.

My 0.02.
Thanks for the input. The only two mods we use go along with your style of thinking anyways. We just make sure spawn killing isn't allowed with cuboid, and the only other one tells everyone who died and how, which is always fun.
I look forward to seeing you online if that still interests you!

I definitely agree with your decision to install cuboid. Protecting the spawn should be an essential to any no-rule PvP server. Anything outside of the spawn goes!
Anyway, this server looks promising, but right now there's a bit of testing going on with the server connection so I can't say anything about the server connection just yet.
Yeah, like we said, it's still in beta while we test a few things, so the 100% lag-less experience isn't going to be there until after Sunday. That being said, it only pops up while we're actively testing so it wont be lagging all day long.

Good server so far. Obviously since it's brand-spankin' new, there's a lot of backups, worldsaves, and D/C's all over the place, but in my 10 minutes of playing it, I am impressed. I'm not quite sure if the biomes are all randomly generated, or purposely placed, but it's literally quite amazing when you have epic doors saying "north, south, east, and west" and they all have quite drastic of differences in environments. I feel like you're branching off into 4 different and unique worlds. Pretty impressive, I must say.
Definitely, if you're interested in a good PvP FFA server, this is the way to go when they get things running smoothly. This is the way Minecraft is supposed to be played.
Wow, we honestly did not expect the amount of people to sign on that did. We've currently disabled health and mobs for a few hours to upgrade to a much more powerful server for everyone to play on and have fun. The server is currently still running, so feel free to build a base and mine while you wait! It should be lag free at the moment.
You can also visit our community site at http://www.hakaslak.com if you're interested in other projects we're running. We have a rather active community, and we'd love to see you guys there! You can hear about the flagship server concept we're currently planning, called Protogenoi. This is a RPG faction based PvP system for those that are interested. Either way, I'd love to see some new posts and new friends.
Played Hakaslak's servers before, well organized, frequent backups and very little downtime between updates. I can recommend this server for any miner that wants a good place to settle.

Is the server down or full or something?

Also, the first kill of the server goes to:
With.
His.
Fists.
Need more people to pwn though.
