Is it a good sign if I wasn't accepted/declines right away? I applied only filling in the required fields, and was declined in about 6 hours. I applied again the next day and filled in all the fields, including taking screenshots and making an imgur.com account and linking it. Should I be worried that they haven't done anything yet and I've been waiting about 3 days? Or is this normal?

well, if you have not been declined or accepted yet that means one of two things, A.) your application hasn't been looked at (unlikely after three days) or B.) your in the "maybe" pile of applications that are being held for possible future greylisting.

I guess I'll have to hope I'm one of those 14 maybes then. What happens to those maybes? Do they just have another admin review them? And if I go on the check guest status page, check my name, and hit back, can I just check my name again and not have to reload the page?

There is no method to the madness in when an application gets accepted/declined/maybe. Sometimes people get a quick response on it because you got lucky and caught someone reviewing apps at that time. Sometimes you have to wait. It's not a paid job to sit and go through applications at set hours, we like to game as well. Maybes are applications that an admin marked because they weren't sure about some aspects of it/wanted another opinion, so yes, other admins will have to go through them and give you an accept or decline.
What I did for my Greylist build was having a really good unique build. Mor Uisge
My second try at a whitelist build got me whitelisted when it was about only 75% finished and I was offline. I combined unique furniture (not found in IDEA), some proper built circles, arches and pillars, and made something very realistic. The Big Wig Cafe
I'm blown away. I had no idea it was you that had created that! To be plain, that is pretty awesome. I really enjoyed the entire architecture, colour scheme, and idea of the build. It is something that would be placed well within the server. I'm really sorry it got griefed, though.
This may be off topic but I actually found that you and I did a couple of similar things in terms of aesthetically placing leaves on posts to create tamed hedges, and half door tops on wooden slabs to create an almost wicker-like chair. I think that is a pretty neat coincidence considering I hadn't seen your build until I had placed all of these things into mine. I guess we have great minds because we certainly did think alike.
In fact, I didn't know I could travel out of Querecas until I got Whitelisted which is pathetic because I've read a lot of the Wiki. -__- To be honest, I thought that you actually had to wait the 1h:40m:35s time limit for the VoxelPort balloon to take off. Here I am with this thought and I would go on back to building, realize the time is near close, come back, feel disappointed because I thought I'd missed it again. I wish I would have know as it would have been lovely to have drawn ideas before I began the build.
On a side note to any players Greylisted or wishing to become Greylisted here is some simple advice: Don't give up. Some people don't get in on their first attempt and many people don't won't Whitelisted on their first build/project. I got lucky for both. I think I was in the right place at the right time with the right administrator to get my build passed. With that said, please note that if you get Greylisted you need to pay more than the normal amount of attention to the Wiki. Especially on how to become a member and the What Not To Build section. I haven't been on the server long and I've already seen more than a handful of these attempts and I am really shocked at how many must have passed on the read. I can't stress it enough- Read. the. Wiki.
DO NOT build anything in the What Not To Build section unless you really think you take take it to the next level and drop some jaws. I did not follow that advice as I built a wooden box, but yet at the same time created more than a box. I gave it dimensions, character, and life with the love I put into the design, and with a little advice from others, some luck, and a lot of revision, I got Whitelisted. If you chose to do something similar be sure to love the project, but don't be too crushed if it doesn't pass as you were warned.
But, it isn't all about your build and skill. Yes, it is about those things, but the community is like a puzzle and you need to fit. Your maturity, diligence, respect, and ability to work with others and take criticism are just some aspect that the admins use to judge you. You could build something fantastic, but if all you are going to do is make penis jokes I won't be surprised to seem blue text in the chat telling me that you got banned for "being an asshat."
All-in-all good luck any new comers or any prospects and hopefully we can build something together in the future.
Ever thought about playing league of legends? It's an awesome free game, and I get free stuff if you sign up. So follow this link, play the game, and then we both benefit. http://signup.league...6331e2560658368

An application written by you shows us what you are like not only as a builder, but as a person. We get to catch a glimpse of your style and personality, and how you portray yourself. So no - you will never have help from someone to write an application as that would defeat the purpose of us seeing your real self.

Reasons Your Application Was Declined
1. You don't meet our age requirements.
2. u type liek dis
3. You do not have any original ideas in terms of what you can bring to the server.
4. The examples of your works are blatant what not to builds.
5. Your personality seems very clingy, dependent on others, or just flat out annoying/bum licking.
There are a few examples, there are of course many more factors to why your application was declined, but those are the general reasons for every admin who looks at applications.

You can find the IP by visiting our wiki. :smile.gif:

Actually, that's not quite true. :tongue.gif:
You don't need an IP, just use the hostname, mc.thevoxelbox.com

Yes, it's creative, but it runs on the Beta server thingy, so unless there's a "Beta - Creative Servers" section...
Yeah thats true, they should make a section like that. Would make a lot of sense, maybe a "Beta - PvP Servers" section as well.
