We are too! SGTekkit ran by a professional and experienced group of Minecraft server owners. We run the server on dedicated and powerful hardware located in a private datacenter in New York City. Interested in the exact server specifications? We run two Intel Xeon E5620 @ 2.4Ghz Quad Core CPU's, 48 GB of DDR3 RAM, 6 SSD's in RAID 50 configuration for integrity and speed and all of this is running on Ubuntu Server 11.10. Yeah, it's ridiculously fast.
Although SGTekkit is nearly brand new we already have several dedicated players and are looking to expand. We pride ourselves on our friendly and helpful community. We do require approval to become a citizen for build rights, but this is part of what keeps the community so great! No one likes a griefer ruining everyone's fun. No worries though! Our applications is simple and we getting approved usually happens within 30 minutes of posting your application.

Tekkit is a custom Minecraft mod compilation created by the great team that also makes TechnicPack. Its custom tailored for SMP use and includes several well known mods such as IndustrialCraft, BuildCraft, RedPower2 and more!
We will warn you now... Tekkit is incredibly addictive! It adds hundreds of new items to Minecraft that will keep you entertained for hours. From building lava powered factories to automated farm systems, you will be amazed at how much Tekkit has to offer over vanilla Minecraft. Come try it for yourself!

SGTekkit runs a variety of plugins to enhance each players experience on the server. The plugins we currently run are listed below:

- iConomy
- ChestShop
- HawkEye
- DynMap
- LWC (Chest Protection)
- SimpleRegionMarket
- WorldBorder
Towns can be created by any citizen and are a great way to work together on the server. City power grids anyone? We also sell market plots in a public marketplace accessible by warps. We keep our plugin list rather short. We still want the main focus of the server to always be Tekkit itself!

Well, hasn't this server turned out to be quite the surprise. When it was started we had assumed that it would be successful, but nothing could have prepared us for what happened. In under two weeks, we've now got 751 'Registered Members'. Not to mention we have rocketed to #56 on Minestatus and that's starting 17 days behind all the other servers.
Come and join us, if you want to experience a different side of Minecraft. Even if you're a Tekkit (SMP) / Technic (SSP) veteran, you'll love this place.

Previous bans (include reason): I was banned from this one small server, I ragequitted after a greifer deleted the spawn that I built.

Why should we accept you?: You should accept me because I am a very mature, smart, and good person. I have never greifed once, and I never will either. I work hard and I only play on servers that interest me very much. Hence, I'm applying to this server
Additional Notes: If I rage, just please kick/temp-ban me. I never mean harm to the server, just I have a short temper and I have some anger management issues. I am semi-good with tekkit, I have played a bit with my friend on a few worlds. Never got really far though.

Why should we accept you?: I look forwarding to playing on a well-developed Tekkit server, the ones i have been playing on recently were very boring and had big downtimes. This server looks more adequate for my needs - it looks alot busier and well made. I am quite new to Tekkit, however, I look forward to learning and playing on this brilliant Server.
