I agree with waiting for 1.9 to start before we get into a "real" server. but in the meantime It wouldn't be a bad Idea to play around with creative or have some sort of PvP thing. Maybe you want to save money and keep the server down, its up to you.

Eventually I might ask for donations, but that would happen like maybe once a year, just to renew the subscription.
As of now, I'm not asking for anything. How would you guys feel about keeping the current map and building a giant Nether rail to new chunks? We could potentially just delete the old chunks later on and keep playing with the new, if it came to it. And when 1.9 is released we'll find out how badly the new chunks blend (or don't blend) with the old chunks, and go from there.

Basically, how about we play it by ear?
Sounds like a plan!

I was going to say something about Tshara's creation but all the good comments have been taken.
As for exploring the current server more, what about the spawn point? If we go really far out, and especially if we delete the old chunks, then the moment someone dies with their bed destroyed, they'd be lost and have to travel a looong ways. I'd be fine with this approach, but personally I think an entirely fresh start would be nice. I guess whatever we do, I need to think of some shorter-term projects to work on in the interim...
Wow. Excellent job Tshara. Your work is beyond words. As for Occam (or whatever the new name is) Notch said that 1.10 won't be too late after 1.9, soooo. crap. at least 1.9 looks okay.

Well, heck, why not then? I mean, I guess besides the increasing memory taken by the server. Which wouldn't be an issue if we deleted the old chunks... Hm.
I know I haven’t been online a lot lately. It’s mainly because I’m working on an offline project. It’s going to be a RPG adventure map. I’m finally ready to release a screenshot of the map. The map is far from done though but I’ve got some great ideas. I already have the quest system worked out. And the best thing is it doesn’t use any mods so it’s easy to download and play. When I have a playable version done I’ll let you all playtest it.
Holy crap, amazing work yet again, can't wait to try it out. :biggrin.gif:
