I hate how zombies are the only ones that go away when the sun comes up. I keep getting killed when I walk out of my house in the morning because there's always a creeper or spider waiting for me...Today when I was in my house, I looked out the door and there was a zombie, skeleton, and spider trying to get at me.
Is there any advice people could give me? I'm new to the game.
The skeletons catch on fire too when the sun comes up too.
If you see them just outside of your door trying to get in, you can kill them with your sword through the windows in the door. Just be careful not to click the door itself, or else you will have opened up Hel...erm The Nether!
why is the hardest monster to kill the one that stays aggressive in sunlight?...ugh
Creepers are possible the easiest mob to kill. All you have to know about killing them is to keep your distance and be on the high ground.
Skeles are the ones you are going have a really hard time if you don't have a bow because they will have a ranged attack over your weak attacks.

becomes neutral in daylight (only attacks you if you attack it)

Ok, so what happens to the skeletons that ride spiders?

Im going to laugh when i see on the news that a criminal prone kid strangled his brother to death with a shoelace when he erased his minecraft save.
Then all those Mormon moms will freak again because its a game. This doesnt concern you...Walk away...
My advice is to make roof on your base, one thats 3-4 blocks from the ground then pick the mobs of with a sword.
oh and 2 more things:
: don't explode if you are higher up than them.
:aren't ALWAYS neutral at daytime sometimes (like one in a hundred) they are still aggressive.
Tip 1: If you see a an open field run as far then look back, if they're following try to get to high ground as you will have the advantage.
Tip 2: I would make a passage way where you could get to a safe area.
Tip 3: If you have a house built into mountain, make a window and shoot the creepers and spiders with a bow.
Thats all i can tell you.
I can definitely vouch for this, especially for the passageway. I make a two story house and put a balcony along the opposite side of my front door with a ladder escaping. Alternatively, you can tunnel from inside your house to another outdoor area.
Finally, the last thing I would suggest: fences*. Fences will keep any enemy out. You can make them like so, where [] = empty space and = stick:
[] [] []
*Disclaimer: skeletons can still shoot you when you have a fence up, but it should give you some distance for when you shoot back with your bow and arrow set.

Skeletons head to water if its nearby though.

Do not get attached to your saves, seriously, stuff like this has happened before, if there's something you love and really want to build...Wait for release.

So do zombies. I havn't noticed any sort of affinity or desire to seek water when on fire. They die just the same.
