For my inventory bar, it is always pickaxe, then shovel, and then axe if I have one. After that it's just random.
Same here! Except the last thing on my bar is ALWAYS torches.
Also, odd numbers scare me, so if I have an uneven number of something, I use it or throw it away and try not to pick it back up, as if it were bad luck.
I log in, load up my save...and sit there motionless wondering how I'm going to continue building what I've been trying to finish for the last week. Its just...BAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

My torches are actually usually just after my shovel/pickaxe.
And I also tend to get slightly uncomfortable when looking at my inventory bar and seeing odd numbers. Usually it isn't too bad though.

Well you're a good man Albert Brown
And you was wounded in the war
And though you shot some people down
You're still a good man Albert Brown
1. Always Pickaxe, Lumber Axe, Shovel, Sword, then Scythe (If I need it) in my inventory bar, then the rest is random.
2. I always start my first house in a cave or with a dirt house.
3. I stand up for random people on the forums a lot. D= Don't judge me! I can't help it being nice!
4.I always get creepers to do suicide.
5.I never think of what to list before actually making the list.
I need to have my specific inventory order or i go insane.
Pickaxe, spade, sword, bow, iron/diamond pick, misc tool, food, ladder/bucket of X, torches.
Also, i never fight skeletons until i have a bow.
I love collecting mossy cobblestone, but i never know what to do with it

Someone should make a particle accelerator ....
Oh ****... thats gonna be me isnt it?
Not if I beat you to it...
And...this is how the space race between Russia and the United States began.
the second I get stone pick -unless I forget- I try to get rid of my wooden pick. Throwing it into fire, water, lave, a 1x2 pit than covering the pit, etc.
I hoard stuff, yet I'm too lazy to make many chests. :sad.gif:
And I put many security measures all over my house when I get the chance.
These include sealing off any possible entrances I don't normally use, including underwater ones...this has often resulted in me forgetting I did and nearly drowning trying to take a detour in. I also made a cactus barrier on the lake so the pigs can't set up a naval offense. Also multiple pitfall traps situated around my house, but I never catch anything in them...And finally, in one of my older saves, I had a TNT cannon aimed at my house in case I wanted the easy way out...HAD is the key word there.
One day I decided that the cannon needed a little something. So I gave it a flaming hellstone mouth.
Well, you know how fire can activate TNT, and it can jump to nearby blocks?
yeah...

Actually, that's the best mental image ever. A dying, drowning man stuffing his face from a massive wall of cake, and carving out a monstrous underwater cake picture. I'd pay to watch that irl.

Definitely not the only one, but I can't set cobble down in a mineshaft, I have to bake it and
come back and set it. Otherwise it bothers me with the contrast :\
When I'm blocking off a small space I no longer need, I fill every single space possible. I first realised that I did this after I wasted about 30 dirt blocks to fill up every single space I could find when making a ladder.
I do this too, mostly because I hate when mobs spawn in the small gaps and start moaning and groaning
and you don't know where it's coming from. I usually get startled and go on a hunt for them.
I have this weird habit where I seem to masturbate whenever I see a creeper, so I can jizz in his face to make him feel bad, not me from being blown up.
If I can't find an absolutely PERFECT area to build my house the first day, the world gets trashed. Always. The area is always near something extraordinary, but usually not on it (cool rock formations, etc.). Once I get my first diamond pick, I always have to dig a 1X1 hole to bedrock. I just use the collected cobble to get back up, and I die from lava and such maybe 1 out of 20 times I do this. I also always build a creeper cube from cobblestone and obsidian. A Creeper Cube is an 8X8X8 cube with a creeper face on every side. No idea why I do it, I just do.
I seriously LOL'd at your pic, pure epicness!

I love Blizzard, but god help me, WoW is a giant money engine that uses human souls as fuel.
I registered for this forum so I could post in this thread.. lol
I find I'm using what feels like a much different hotbar layout than most I've seen; mine's always been influenced by Doom and other FPS', with pistols at 1 or 2 and shotgun/machine gun at 3 or 4. My minecraft hotbar reflects that with its:
1 - torches (almost always walk around with them out, plant them as I go; I have thousands in free-form highways around my main)
2 - pick, stone at all times. I go through hundreds of these.. I suppose other people do too, lol. I only carry an iron pick when I know I'm going specifically for one or more ores in a particular mine near a safehouse
3 - shovel. While others might indulge themselves in diamond picks or diamond swords, I chose the humble shovel as my go-to massive use tool. I still carry a full rack of stone shovels however, as I won't use the diamond one for digging down through the gravel I use to climb out of bedrock shafts that I sink in every safehouse.
4 - sword. I generally use a stone one, as I've gotten used to the DPS of it and don't particularly need any quicker kills. I will make a diamond one though, as soon as I get enough (in my head) to justify it.
5- axe - it's at 5 because I simply don't use it much, but prefer it next to my other tools for organization's sake
This totally feels like my classic Doom-ish config, basically in usability and frequency of use, ascending 1 to 5. I use 6 - 9 as much more abstract and interchangeable slots, but they're almost always meat, a full stack of gravel, a stack of a solid (dirt, cobble) and assorted tools.
I also tend to be a HUGE hoarder, I didn't make anything out of iron (after a devastating death where I lost a full set + diamonds) until I had 5 full stacks. I've always gamed like that though, since the first Resident Evil taught me that wasting ammo = pain, lol.
On my main world, I have a small castle with a fenced courtyard as my general base of operations, and other than a nearby set of stairs, everything is covered in stone. This is because I can't stop killing EVERY SINGLE ANIMAL that shows up in front of my home or out back near my warehouses.
I just can't. Even though I play on peaceful and I most definitely do not need that pig's innards, I'll still waste time chasing it down just to get rid of it and spawn another one at a later date.
Also, when I mine out an area, the mine has to be at least somewhat symmetrical. If I dig off in some random direction to follow a big coal vein, I immediately fill the entire vein in with cobblestone to make the cave look like it was before.

It is the equivalent of saying

Me too :biggrin.gif: and therefore I always get lost in my caves and wander around aimless^^

Oh you said ingame? Meh.
Some of these habits are freakishly similar to mine. Same pick, shovel, axe, sword arrangement, then torches at the end (9).
Same thing where i get rid of my wood pick as soon as possible any way possible xD by digging pits or tossing them down and quickly running away lol.
Weird stuff!
