Actually, Minecraft tends to be quite realistic sometimes. Sure, the graphics may not be at all lifelike, and punching trees is seen as abnormal in real life. But what Minecraft really is is a simulation. A survival simulation. You wake up on an unknown island, and what do you do? You build a shelter, exactly what you would do in real life. You forge tools and weapons in an attempt to survive the night, and your world has accurate phenomenon like stars and direction. On the other hand, it's unrealistic because you craft stuff out of bare hand, the graphics are 16-bit, and objects may not react with each other like they would in real life.

The iteration of these lines brings gold;
The framing of this circle on the ground
Brings whirlwinds, tempests, thunder and lightning.

While what you say is true, this thread was made more as a joke and a subtle message that it does not need to be more realistic. I have read threads where people want to re-tier minecraft so that you need to attack leaves to get sticks and break gravel to get flint. These two materials would make a hatchet, which would cut down the wood. This sense of realism people want to put in minecraft is overcomplicated and unneeded.
Then how do you explain diamond tipped drill bits?
It is not a diamond drill, it is just diamond tipped. The tool is not diamonds.
However, this thread is now diamonds.
I'm on a pig.
lol, cant beat old spice
-you can stick bars of metal and gems together to form solid blocs
-you can open doors by hitting them
-you can use fire to create damage proof armor
-you can place bookcases but cant read
-you can modify how everything in the world looks by editing terrain.png
-soil turns to dirt if you dont plant quickly enough
-when glass is broken it completely vanishes without leaving a shard
You can go into an obsidian portal and be taken straight to hell.
Has anyone actualy tried making a 5M by 4M frame out of obsidian and starting a fire on the inside?
For all we know, that could really make a portal to a fiery alternate dimension.
Notch could be a some sort of cultist, brainwashing us with his daemonic knowledge onto us unsuspecting minecraft fans, so we all subconsciously build 5x4 obsidian frames in our sleep, so his daemonic familiars aka ghasts, come though the portal to enslave mankind in the name of the almighty Notch...

-An apple surrounded by gold blocks turns to a golden apple that make you feel better.
-Obisidian is stronger than diamonds (takes more time to mine).
-Gold has less value than iron (more recepies).
-You can bend material with your bare hands!
-You have a compass that doesn't point north.
-Gravel and sand are affected from garvity, while obisidian, stone, dirt and actuall everything else aren't.
That means: lighter things are affected from gravity!.
-Tree's do not require water to grow, nor cacti (which requires a little water at least in real life).
-Reeds turns to paper--> Paper turns to books--> Books turns to bookcases--> Bookcases vanish from existence.

*Not too sure on the last one, saw it on a youtube video pointing this out. Could be a mod or something. I'll go check.

So you wake up on a beach one day, and remember NOTHING. (Except your degree teachings in Engineering, Wilderness Survival, Metal work, Physics, Tech, Psychology, History, Dynamics, and Blocks.) You mine and build and survive for years and years.
The framing of this circle on the ground
Brings whirlwinds, tempests, thunder and lightning.

-Wood can burn forever
-Leaves create saplings, not seeds
-The sky has a limit
Above statement is false.

Yeah, everybody knows skeletons and zombies are fireproof in the real world.

Above statement is false.
Actually, you'd need two buckets.
How do you know?
Maybe your spawn point is at the north pole of your world (or at least magnetic north!). :happy.gif:
