I thought you guys would find this interesting, but what had happened was I was running away from two monsters (a skeleton and a creeper) and the skeleteon shot an arrow at me. Surprisingly, the arrow missed me and hit the creeper (and actually damaged him). Even more surprisingly, the creeper turned around and ran towards the skeleton, eventually blowing up on him. I guess this means the creepers aggro towards whatever hits them, reguardless of WHO it is. I guess all of the mobs arent part of a conspiracy group together. They're doin there own thing, lmao.
Actually, all mobs go hostile towards a skeleton that damages them really, as far as I know.
When I found a Skeleton Spawner(My favorite mob :biggrin.gif:) and tried to make a drowning trap(And failed) and got shot at, a skeleton shot the one infront of it, and they started shooting eachother until THEY died, and it happened many times. Only a skeleton can cause another mob to aggro, since only they can misfire.
Old. All mobs can infight. It was a bug turned feature. Notch mentioned it on his twitter a while back, and one of the splash texts is "Monster infighting!"
And, teh_fluff, actually, all mobs except creepers can start a fight, and maybe slimes. I've caused a spider to hit a skeleton and a zombie to hit another zombie, and they started fighting. Creepers are the only ones who cant really cause it because their attack is to suicide. Presumably slimes can cause it too.
Hm, I already linked to in the last thread I replied to, for unrelated reasons, but there's a couple of cases of creepers blowing up skeletons in there, too. I've also managed to make a skeleton duel happen. It was awesome. There were three skeletons in a big room in a cave. One of them went after me, then got shot in the back. Those two proceeded to duel and went on for many minutes while I dispatched of the third, until one of them fell into a hole and got stuck. The other one managed to sidestep down unharmed and take it out.
Another time, I managed what the poster above me did, but it was outside. Skeleton ambush on the path leading toward my surface mine, but through some stroke of fate I managed to angle myself so that the arrows crossed paths and JUST missed me, one of them hitting the skeleton on the other side. It's really fun when that happens!
One time in a dungeon a skeleton shot another and they proceeded to shoot at eachother until they got stuck halfway around corners, so they were staring at eachother with half their face, not moving at all. I had to kill them since they made me feel uneasy.
Anyway, not only do things become hostile to skeletons that damage them, skeletons immediately become hostile to anything their arrow hits. So they're prepared. S'strange.
