Any strange rituals that you preform? Sacrifices, statues, churches, symbolic items, celebratory dates... etc....
I for one often make sacrificial wells that are on landmark places high up that reach from above the clouds to the bottom usually adorned with cloth, gold and diamond bricks. If I died and respawned I throw a red flower in. If my crops or supplies are low I throw in pork or wheat. I also make HUGE OBELISKS out of smelted stone with strange markings that has some sort of cool effect engraved with cloth/cobble stone always taller than the clouds.... and occasionally i make a grave stone where I died (Sign explaining date of death and a short span of dirt with a yellow flower or if a mob got me a red flower)
Why I do these? Who knows...

Normally, the only ritual I have is a periodic trip to a mountain to stair at the sun for a whole day, then jump off the nearest cliff. Mostly because I haven't figured out how to craft a bungee cord yet.
I made a totem pole and dance around it every 4 days for a whole night.
I also use it as a beacon to find my home (its covered in torches), i also have my sun room which is a room filled with torches and a sapling in the middle.

Coal is inefficient. I only use Propane and Propane Accessories.
My ritual is i made a shrine to the Minecraft Demons on top of a lake of lava. Shapped like a eye with reg stone then cobblestone then a peice of cloth as the pupil. Then i throw in to the lava the more expensive thing i have in the lava. Then i burn the pupil so its on fire and let it burn then once it ends the ritual ends
Not really a ritual and more of a common sense type thing, but whenever I begin a new map, I always try and make a house, typically a big or medium-sized one. I then add a bedroom (the only use of which it has a chest).
Every minecraftian friday, I climb up my steep cliff, to gaze into the great unexplored abyss, imagining the warm embrace of a beutifal woman, soothing my soul as she quietly breathes beside my ear.

Sooo... when's the next seecret Friday update topic going up? =[
I'm going to go into more detail because I have too much time on my hands lllloooolllll
When I begin a map (Infdev), I immediately start off by chopping down trees. I'll collect the saplings if I feel like it, but typically I'll just put them in my inventory. I will then craft all the logs into planks, make a workbench, and then start exploring for a nice place to put a house. For an example, my latest and greatest map spawned me in the middle of a huge tree patch, and after some exploring, I found a huge patch of grass in front of a big sandpit and behind a small beach. After smoothing out the land (aka grabbing dirt blocks and making a bigger flatgrass), I began to build my house.
Typically, my house is large; it takes more than a full 64 blocks to make. My latest house (the beachfront property), used up all 64 plankblocks just to make three walls. And I hadn't even started the front wall (where the door would be) or the ceiling! After getting many more trees, I eventually finish my house. I then put down my workbench and craft up some sticks, as well as a door and a pickaxe. I then start hunting for coal.
Fortunately, the beachfront property was right above an enormous cave system, with multiple entrances. Going down just a few blocks deep, I found some coal. I brought it back to the surface and then light my house up with torches. I then make a furnace out of the cobblestone, and start heating up the cobblestone to make strong stone for my house's floor. After digging up my dirt floor, I replace it all with strong stone.
After this, I generally just aimlessly pass the days by. Sometimes I might hunt for iron (and find thirty iron and fourteen golds in the process, not to mention lots of coal), other times I might add onto my house (such as the second floor and the giant lookout tower on my beachfront house, or my underground fireplace that you can walk through to a Secret Spa). Other times I might leave to do something strange (such as build a waterslide on a little island off the coast, or to make a giant lavafall from the top of a nearby mountain).
I swear, I don't think I've ever loved Infdev more. I remember when it was nowhere near as developed as it is now. It's amazing the difference time makes.
TL;DR: I make a big house, light it with torches, and then take each day as it comes.
Every sunset I stare through here (from the top of a low tree).I believe that Notch lives at the center of the sun, so I do this in his honor. 8-)
EDIT: now with doors surroundingthe entrances! Plus:
a sacrifice pit! I put meat in(and two yellow flowers :? ) , and now there are more pigs! (the saplings represent growing things(trees and crops) both of which I am growing right now, and want to grow faster.) Unfortunately, the first things I put in were cloth blocks. you know what happened next. I got bumped all over the place! :ohmy.gif:
I always find a place to make a house, then place a dirt block there to show that's where it will be.then I cut down about 5 trees, use them to make my home, and inside my house I create a staircase spiraling downward, and I build my rooms and mines off of that staircase.

I post too much.
how do you get apples?
How do I crafted apples?
You don't. You use NBTEdit or some similar app and adds them to you savefile.
(That, or some magix voodoo memory hacking with cheatengine or similar)

I built a fury pond to the blood god.
I throw pork chops into it in honor of him.
Once we started to prosper I built a great fountain to the god نبتون
I throw cloth into it's holy waters.
Having said that, Nice stuff.
