I'm having problems recently with infdev running. It was going smoothly before, but recently it's just all shot for me for some reason. Indev, creative, etc all work just fine, but infdev crawls to a 2-5 fps no matter what, any clues of what's up? Would post pictures but for some reason the forum won't let me. All the settings are down so that it should run well.
it may seem strange but have you tried to run it in fullscreen? (im not sure of which browsers are capable of this except for chrome) but i sometimes lag a little while its in the webpage, but once i hit f11 (while minecraft is being played) it goes to fullscreen) and i dont lag anymore. i think it may have to do with they way the script is set. but im not a code guy and i only know html so im not gonna say notch's updated code broke something <.< but beyond that i have no clue how to help

Hmm. By all settings I'm guessing you mean fog, so, are you playing on an old map from before the water update? The slowdown might be from water retroactively flowing into open spaces.
if you mean by "glitchy" by meaning big and blocky thats just cause its minecraft =p other than that i have no idea (try giving us your specs, ram , video card , etc...

Infdev got a bit slower after the last update but it's hardly noticable on my PC. Guess your's just isn't quite enough for it anymore (although I'm sure Notch will eventually optimize it.)
even without the os information i can come up with a simple summary of thing that MAY be affecting infdev (first of all its on a laptop) the update is one yes. the next being that its a DELL laptop (sorry i have a thing against dells <.<) and that if your running vista, your ram doesnt meet the optimal level (2.0 GB ram for vista)

I hate dell also, but it's a work computer while I'm in Maryland and away from my real computer. But I don't see why even though it was working just fine, it all of a sudden went all sssssboom on me.
not sure, it may be the fact that dells are just stuborn as hell and it decided that another process (that dell more than likely installed <.<) wanted to take up the ram that was being used by minecraft
so it craps out
and im sorry for not being able to help ;/

hmm... have any antivirus running? that sometimes can help take a load off of it (as well as keeping browser tabs to a minimum helps as well.) any extra programs (you ARE on a laptop anyway.) should be shut down to allow minecraft (and its new hog of a water physics engine =p) to gobble up all the resources it needs to run smoothly.... thats all i can think of ;/
