I just wish he'd prioritize fixing the horrendous, game-breaking lighting issues, such as the fact that all of your mining progress shows up as solid black during day changes so you pretty much have to sit there and wait minutes for the lighting to update before you can progress any further.

You need to understand the difference between Alpha and Beta.
The Alpha testing which is going on now is primarily for new features. As long as those features don't break the game, they're ok. The Java crashes that occured when day/night was first added...those were game-breaking and needed to be fixed right away before Alpha could proceed further. The lighting update bug is not game-breaking, only a minor annoyance.
The Beta testing is where those bugs will be worked out, and game balancing will take place, and for the most part new features will not be added to the final release.
You don't want to get ahead of yourself when doing game development. Spending too much time getting something absolutely perfect and bug free (like the lighting) is a waste of time and money if some other feature you add in Alpha just breaks it again. Spend the time getting the stuff you want in the game on its feet, and then you can fine tune it later.

No, they dissapear. Shrubs fall.
I've noticed that if the leaves touch the ground, they will saty alive. Odd... Good for shrub making though! :biggrin.gif:
