thats not a glitch, thats just how the servers have always given items to players.
Not true. Upon entering a similar command in hMod, the item appears in your inventory.
In hMod, yes. Not McAdmin.
Thanks for reiterating. As I said before, "Any word on when that will be fixed?" Also, answering my previous questions would be great.[/quote]
I don't know if that is looked upon as a glitch. This was how the vanilla servers (unmodded) handle giving items to players so it may remain unchanged.
You can however run hey0 with MCAdmin. Then you would be able to use hey0s item command. Just don't specify the item amount as -1...
Yeah, not sure what is wrong... but my console is getting spammed with all kinds of errors (messages in red.. haven't seen these before) and kicking my users with messages like: "Don't use haxs" and such. Something is broken somewhere.
It's probably due to the new ID codes the game uses to send attack messages. MCAdmin doesn't know what these IDs are and assumes it's some sort of hack, and kicks the user. It's a good security measure, but it breaks things like this. It'd be nice if it could be disabled in server.properties.

Same here, I use McAdmin to run a tiny server for me and my friends, now McAdmin kicks people and accuses them of hacking.
On a side note, can we change these messages? Saying "Don't use haxs" is fine enough, but calling the player a F*g in the same message is way inappropriate for some of the people that play on my server. If I had known this before I would NOT be running this software, even though I really like it.
No one has royally screwed up. Notch updated the software, MCAdmin needs to be updated to comply with the changes, that's all. You can't expect everything to work flawlessly together during any stage of development. That's like getting mad because your old telephone from 1901 won't work with VoIP services.
Getting this error when you first start the server:
Preparing spawn area: 95%

Sounds interesting. How do you do it?
You make a new folder in your mods folder in the directory where MCAdmin.exe is and extract all the files out of hey0s minecraft_mod.jar with winrar and put them into that folder. then, add a plugins= parameter to your server.properties and make sure NOT TO OPEN SERVER PROPS. through MCAdmin or it will take your hey0 strings out of it. once you run hey0, you will need to go through manually and add everyone who plays on your server to the hey0 users.txt and give them the proper clearence to use commands and what not that are added by your plugins.
Also, does anyone have the issue with MCAdmin just randomly going nonresponsive and crashing? I am running windows 7 64 bit with 8 gig of ram and a 2.5ghz quad core. Thanks.
Great tool :smile.gif: But I just tried playing after the update broke everything (on my own server), grabbed a sword, hit another player... instantly get kicked ''Dont use hax, fag''. Lolwut?
Well obviously the creator of McAdmin still has some ILLEGAL virsues on your computer that make all kinds of PvP and PvE against "server" (mcadmin's hacking creator's) rules.
MCADMIN GIVES YOU VIRUSES> HE CAN HACK YOU AND OVERRIDE ANYTHING YOU DO.
SO HE CAN BAN YOU FROM YOUR OWN SERVER. HE JUST BANNED WEAPONS FROM A PVP SERVER. WHATS NEXT, BANNING DIRT FROM A DIRT-ONLY SERVER?!
*Guys McAdmin is bad news. He hacked our computers so he could ban you from your own server and edit files on YOUR computer at ANYTIME HE WANTED.
He can still do it.
Spread the word. McAdmin is not to be trusted. At all.

Mod edit: The server ban issue is old news, has been fixed, and it was made very clear that continued harassment towards the developers of this application would not be tolerated. Your other accusations are outrageous, and not actually helpful to anyone. A warning was issued for this post.

I have tons of gold. So much gold, I'm swimming in the stuff. Problem is, gold is worthless in Minecraft. But still, an entire map made of solid gold...I wonder how I'm supposed to get wood?

Long before a man comes of age and takes up his sword he knows what cause he shall die for.
Crazy people aside, the !kit command at its base uses \give, which doesn't place the items directly into your inventory.
I can check in some code that pushes the blocks directly into your inventory, but this has the caveat that it will likely stop working when Notch starts validating/monitoring player inventories. I currently don't see it as a good approach.
Latest updated version works fine. Animals and players alike can be killed without getting kicked for "haxoring" or anything, good show. The rest of the weird bugs are probably SMP issues more than MCAdmin ones I think.
Notes: The checkbox labeled "Disable Animals" actually sets "spawn-animals=true", should be labeled "Enable Animals" same as the "Enable Monsters" checkbox.
Also no checkbox for pvp=true/false. Will it cause any issues setting pvp=false manually?
Everything worked fine until the last update of MC and MCAdmin, when the server started messing up like this
