Yes it is possible i spawned in a tiny cave of it and was like "wtf" i had to walk about 20 blocks away then make a portal to stop spawning in the nether cave

Got caves? On a serious note. Yes caves happen, and they inflict every 1:1 minecraftian, especially once they enter the Nether, which as stated before, is a giant cave.... A cave that gets you free cooked bacon
There are large open "caves" in the Nether, but also huge chunks of solid Netherstone.
If the solid chunks were riddled with cave systems, I expect portal placement would work a lot better as they wouldn't have to be moved so far to the nearest open space.
Hi.
- Yes, the Nether is riddled with caves.
In fact the Nether is a giant cave filled with caves!
yo dawg...

an easy way to get to a nether cave is to build your portal on top of a mountain/elevated structure. That usually leads you to a cave.
The OP never said anything about dungeons. We althready have a thread for that.
Caves? Well, none with ores, but yeah, you can find tunnels in the nether. And then you'll get lost and never see daylight again. (true story)
My texture pack.
As one of the above users almost said

Of course not. There's no daylight in the depths of the earth!

Just sayin'.
