i went into my minecraft folders, and replayes the DIM-1(Netherworld) files with regular world stuff. So whenever i go to hell i have this world where there is red sky, and all newly generated areas are the same as in the real nether. So that means i have grass in some areas and these giant red netherland cliffs all the way around
If the chunk was already generated, then it just takes that chunk and makes it look like the nether. Pic of a desert-ish chunk in the real world, but in the nether, with red fog and zombie pigmen.
I just did the unthinkable..and completely swapped under and over-world files. This is what I got:
Unfortunately, you just missed seeing a ghast being destroyed by lava. Nor did you see the ****ing SPIDER that jumped out from behind me and pushed me below, killing me. You can tell by the fog that I'm technically above ground
EDIT: This is really cool. Using a portal to get to the Nether again, I found myself in a copy of my original world. If you want to take survival to the next level, it's something you could try

If it weren't for the damn ghast, I would have captured the ground below it. It's a lake..in hell!
EDIT: This is an INVedit'd inventory I made to screw around in hell with. I don't normally do that, but I felt like screwing around there
Your going to hell now.
Already there, thank you very much. F1 hides the HUD, by the way. Great for screenshots! Especially this one..
Taken in full screen, so click on it. And yes, I got hit by that ghast

EDIT: He was surprisingly easy to kill. The poor guy didn't seem to want to leave the water.. he floated upwards for a few seconds, and went back in
I don't think so, but I'm not sure. They REALLY love water, though
Well..Spend all your life in a really hot dark area with lava everywhere..You'd love water too.
Fair enough
