What I mean is... I keep waiting for something to be posted there, but nothing ever is. I mean, videos, pictures... all sorts of twitter info... all these things are being divulged at different locations, but nothing changes on the webpage.
I mean, even at the bottom it tells you the address... luring you there. As if to say, 'Bookmark me! More stuff will be here!'

Because Notch is a game programmer, not a web page designer. That's why he hired one to do it for him.
Heh, if that's the case. He needs to get on the web designer's case and say... 'Hey! I released all this new info... Put it on the site!'
Edit: I'm not complaining... just pointing out it's bareness. It just seemed to me like the webpage was going to have a purpose, but then... nothing...

Maybe its a trap, and you just fell into asking about the its existence. Now when you fall asleep all the pumpkins are going to sneak into your home and watch you as you sleep. Maybe then you'll realize your impudence and never again question the existence of something on the internet....
And with that post I bid you farewell and sweet dreams, mayhaps we shall see each other again one day, but until then good luck with the pumpkins.
Ah, but from now till the day you die everywhere you go pumpkins shall follow. Always watching, never blinking, plotting, scheming, and conniving. When you go to the bathroom they will be there. When you eat dinner they will be there. No matter how hard you try you will never get away.
Your new life shall be one of constant observation and you will never again have a moment of privacy.
Am I the only one curious why there is a whole webpage devoted to one picture?
It didn't cost any real time, money, or skill to set it up this way, it doesn't have to have meaning behind it.
It's just a .png image embedded onto an HTML document. That html document is the default page for the /boo directory.
'average joe' people will find it easier to type minecraft.net/boo, rathe than minecraft.net/boo.html or something similar... it was just given it's own folder to give it an easy URL to access it via.
Internet doesn't work that way my friend, as the picture must be embedded with , or whatever possible way.
Otherwise, the page would just be blank. (Except this one, as the page also has adarkish brown background color ( #160F0A ))

My initial assessment of the page was wrong, it's not just a plain PNG, it is embedded on an HTML page to give it the background and such, and I have edited my post to reflect this.
Still the main point of my post still holds true. Average joe users would rather type in minecraft.net/boo, rather than minecraft.net/boo.html
Giving the page it's own directory on the server, and making that page the default page of that directory is an easy way to make a user-friendly URL.

Well, if all they are doing is watching... I should be fine. >.> <.< o.O
