Notch should add an update where, without mentioning it in the update details, have Herobrine appear on the other side of the first door you open, look at you for a second, then run out of site. And then deny knowledge of it when people ask him about it.
Haha, I sure hope there's no Herobrine! I'd need a couple extra pairs of pants with me. :<
Also, I think it may fuel the trolls back in the alpha section more (not sure if they're around anywhere else with such popularity, since I mostly post in the Alpha section).
If I saw him, I'd probably pause, make an Autohotkey script to autoclick the right mouse button, and just fire like hell at Him as I run away.
I'd probably go then change my pants, since He would still kill me anyway.
*gasp* don't compare 'HIM' with a blue kitty!! *runs crying*
now really, the hole herobrine likeness is because all players know what the enemies are and how they look, you have seen zombies, skeletons, spiders, and you have seen the passive farm mobs looking silly & jumping all "derp!, jump, derp!" but then, we have a break point, this thing that look exactly like you (a human), except that you suppose to be the ONLY human in this world (as long as the player know so far in this story) so this triggers our curiosity, but also our primal fear to the unknown, so we follow it, only to never find it again.
and because we never see any villages or other "human like" made structures we will never know what the hell was that, also don't forget that we kill the zombies, spiders, etc. and we know this ones are many, but this thing we saw, it was real? how many are? is my enemy or an ally?, and if you are alone in a world with this kind of unanswered questions, then by all means you can **** as many as you like.
i really like to see it implemented in a future, as long as the herobrine model doesn't look like anything else, it must be kept as 'it' to keep it's charm.
but if he whispered to you ear: "so you don't believe?", only to turn and see it empty eyes?
now, its understandable that you no longer fear it, because, again, its no longer part of the unknown, it's no longer metaphysical horror, now, if he could run 2x speed, and wield a blood driping axe, that would make you **** , but only for fear to your own life, that would be physical horror.
nevertheless the damage is done, herobrine will remain as a minecraft pop culture reference & urban myth, even if we don't want to.

I would love him forever.
I would hate him forever. (Not really)

If you go by the scientific standard of fun, then you will see that other people don't dictate your enjoyment. You do. D:
I think "he" needs to be a mob that appears on every difficulty, on close fog, and just watches you. It would be kind of inappropriate to make what amounts to Notch's dead brother appear in Hell. It's just a little disturbing.
"Oh, yeah, that's my dead brother. He's in hell."

Manly blood is both highly acidic AND highly basic, but I'm glad to see you're paying attention.

I'd freak the hell out. Run for my life. Dig a hole. Cover it up. Never play again.
Save the slimes!

basically, he means "run the !@#$ away"
OR, I could create a TNT Self-Destruct button (my cousin did that before, he destroyed half the map), then set it off as soon as I see Herobrine.
He doesn't exist,
And you'd run away if it did;
So people post what they would do?
too much brainpower is required
