Does anybody know any effecient ways to mine with tnt? It's kinda useless considering it destorys some blocks so you cant pick them up. So yeah I was just wondering if anybody who uses tnt give me any methods that are good with it.
I dig 4 blocks deep in the middle like the pick above and blow it. It leaves a 3x3 area with just a few stone near you to clear out. Just don't do it if you see any resources as it will destroy 75% of what it blows up. Also if there's any dirt/gravel it won't make that nice 3x3 area and make a bigger hole.

If you ever drop your keys into a pool of lava, forget about them, cuz man, they're gone...
if you want to mine with tnt but without losing precision and resources [except for stone that no one cares because there is plenty], you make your floor or wall 3x3, then you dig two blocks in the center of this face, that way you will be putting the tnt in the center of a 3x3x3 cube. care to look inside to see if the visible blocks are stone, if not you may want to dig manually. ignite the tnt and cover with one block of cobblestone, so it doesnt blow your torches away.
Do it like this, all the way from the surface to bedrock. Hit the top and run. You get a nice, big mineshaft carved out for you and it only takes a minute to place the TNT plus 10 seconds to detonate it. Get to the bottom, going straight down (hope you dont hit lava or a cavern, if you dont want to risk it do a 2x1 pit) then jump, place the TNT under you and repeat until you hit the surface again. Don't bother with torches, they'll just get blown up.
It'll blast a super-straight path in both directions.
Problem?
I've been using a method like that except putting obsidian around it ? but I was wondering if there could be any quicker methods. Thanks though.

Yes but that would use up like 60 TNT blocks
