Seems like one of you here are PC Gamers... The best key to bind for sprinting is shift and for sneaking is ctrl. I have 53 games Installed only in my steam and 99% of the games have those keys as default. Lets hope u people know what Steam is =3

Steam is Valve's distribution platform for games. I'm not sure why we are suddenly discussing about Steam, by the way. I simply told you that I use a different sprint key than you do and then you started with this whole PC gamer crap.
Just saying 99% of the games in PC are SHIFT

To cut down on the redundant threads regarding upcoming update additions, the MD section staff have decided to make a single thread for not only the upcoming update, but all updates yet to come. This thread will be updated daily (if there is anything new to add) by staff members to keep it constantly up to date. In addition, when a new update comes out, this thread will continue to be used for whatever the new upcoming update is.
Official patch notes:
None at this time.
Official "spoilers":
•Sprinting will now be activated by a bind-able hotkey rather than double tapping the "forward" key. It is unknown at this time if this will be a toggle or if it will only be active when held. It is also unknown if you will be able to use the old sprinting method instead.
•Ability to bind functions, such as screenshots, cinematic camera, and perspective, to custom hotkeys.
•Spruce trees will generate in extreme hills biomes.
•A desert mountain biome, which Jeb calls "Disco mountains", will be added. They will be made of stained clay of various colors and will contain dead bushes.
•Bug fix: Less "black spots" caused by shadows upon world generation.
Rumors:
•1.7 could possibly be a biome and ocean update.
•While the ocean part does not seem to be touched on yet, this update does indeed seem to be focused on biomes so far.
If you notice anything that should be on this list but isn't, please send me a private message explaining what should be added, as well as a link to the source of the information.
Dinnerbone said he changed fishing mechanism. Check out his twitter.
Indeed it is. Anything in the first two categories are official, but the rumor category will only be things that Mojang has hinted at or said might happen.
What games? You don't even know what Steam is so...
First, please stay on topic. This has gone from talking about hotkeys to a childish debate about what makes a true gamer. But just to finish off this dispute once and for all: You dont have to use default controls of the top rated PC games, or even use Steam, to be a PC gamer. If you regularly play PC games, you are a PC gamer. There is no need to belittle other people simply because they don't play what or how you play. We all enjoy video games, there is no need to hate on each other based on what video games we like.
After re-reading the OP, what happened with cherry trees?
All that has been said about cherry trees is that if Patrick Geuder codes them, Dinnerbone will add them. They are even less confirmed than red dragons at this point, and there is absolutely no evidence that they will be in 1.7.
Chunk borders are an area where different world generation codes meet. This happens when you generate new land in an already existing world. A good example of this would be during 1.8 where the terrain generation code was changed almost completely. There's usually a seperation line.
This would be an example of what most chunk borders look like.
Does this still happen? I hope it does, it would help for new Biomes to Generate in my 1.6 world. As I want it bad without having to make a new world.I use the Z key to Sneak. It's easier. I think I'll just have it set to auto Sprint with W. XD Maybe a R for Sprinting...
Take a look at this photo. http://instagram.com/p/crbx7MpMHr/# It looks like biomes are regional, as you have warmer areas in one place, colder areas in another. Also, rivers separate biomes. Just take a look at those beaches!
There is also rumor that volcanoes might be added.
Also, what is up with the darker spots in the ocean?

Well if you are a true PC Gamer the best key for you would be Shift =)

Also when you're running away you can easily "yell".
Also who is the guy in this picture?

Your wrong. Battlefield series, mount and blade, half life 1-2, garrysmod, TF2, counter strikes, every game is SHIFT

"OMG IT'S HERBRINE OMG!!!!!" Nope it's just Chuck Testa.
Praise be to Spode.
Who's the Chuck Testa??
Edit: Sonofa- sneak..
Man, I do not like this hotkey crap honestly. There's too many key functions in the game that can't be used efficiently with wasd.
Edit2: Sneak = ALT. All problems solved woop.

That will help a lot. On servers there is often lag from changing from walking to sprinting. This just auto sprints without lag
