Sorry if this has already been said but if you notice while you're on the horse there is a bar that replaces the XP bar. When you hold space for longer the horse will jump further
Finally some much needed efficient transport! I hated having to set up miles of rails or just walking/running for ages...I love the horses! Thank you Mojang team for implementing and Dr Zhark for coming up with the original idea!
I hope in the future people will find ways to create horse racing arenas or something, that would be awesome!
Also, please give us an easy way to name our horses, as well as our wolves. The naming system Mo Creatures has is superb, so a similar system would be great for Vanilla Minecraft!

And surely this would feel like Minecraft, you know, with all the arbitrary updates and forgotten promises?
The redstone update wasn't really arbitrary...and neither was the 1.8 Adventure Update. Both updates were what the community had begged for since the early stages of the game, and Mojang listened
Great job, Horses either don't have sounds or they're not implemented don't know which. Horses automatically dismount you if they go in 2 block (+) deep water, and it's difficult to get back on them or lead them to land once they kick you off. I absolutely love the jumping mechanism and the craftable carpet that works like pressure plates. Great job
loving the horses :3 but, i found a bug: shooting arrows off a horse back makes a grahical glitch. oh, and the jump gauge is hard to use, BUT i found something cool! if you middle click on a spider (might be creative only tho) it turns your XP bar red!
EDIT: i found out its just having the spider spawn egg in you hotbar.
The launcher seems pretty buggy. 5 times in a row when I clicked "Play" it got stuck "Queueing Downloads."
The horses are FUN but holy cow I had to give one a stack each of apples and wheat to tame it. By then, it'd be too fat to ride! But riding them is pretty fun and if you time it right you can jump fences with them even. The controls are a bit buggy but hey, it's early. You can't ride them through Nether portals; you just sit there and it doesn't even get wavy.
Carpets are nice I guess, but unless you care what the ceiling of the lower level of your house looks like (or the sides of the block you're putting carpet on), it's a waste of resources. Just laying down the wool gets you 2 blocks covered in "carpet". I think the recipe should net you 4-16 carpets per 2 wool.

Horses are awesome but apparently other mobs will soon spawn with varying amounts of health which ruins any mob farm designed to make them one hittable ...

Don't forget the kitties and pigs!

Subscribe if you want to, I'm not going to be doing snapshot reviews but a lot of people seemed to be having trouble so I uploaded this.
