Minecraft, The Game we Love. The game i play everyday. Building things, Placing blocks. The game that is fill of fun and interesting things. This Post that i am Posting now i will be talking about what is happening to Minecraft. Im just ganna cut to the chase. MINECRAFT IS BORING NOW. There Is no achievment in playing minecraft now. Sure there are really cool things added like Jungles and strongholds. But its just not the same as it was back in 1.7.3 and 1.6.6 In These Updates Minecraft was fun, There was Better Seeds And Chunks. Seeds Now in minecraft are boring. Like the empty Grass plains have taken over. Theres not much amazing overhangs or Mountains no more. Its basically flat. Theres No weird Chunk Spawning Like Upside down mountains. The Creators of minecraft(Nothc) has Modernised it too much. Added too many things that doesnt make minecraft.. Minecraft. I Mean really... We all miss The Seeds Gargamel, 101 And Glacier. They Were Really fun to play on. Now when i make big structures in minecraft and look out a window. its just not the same. Please Discuss This with me. I Think Jeb Needs To add a Gamemode in minecraft that goes back to the old versions of minecraft. Please Comment Below on what you think.
I agree. Let me get something strait first: I got minecraft back in early alpha, and sure, i really miss all the old crazy stuff that used to happen during that time, but i'm no old man saying "you know, back in my day in alpha, ........."
I just miss the old alpha terrain generation, with crazy natural features and those crazy bright leaves and grass.
I miss having no biomes, just 1 whole thing.
I miss having no nether.
I miss the simplicity of the game. Chop wood, make tools, make home, survive night, get wood, mine stone, make stone tools, improve home, find cave, find diamonds, work on house again, chop more wood, make a farm etc. etc. There was no biomes or nether or Enderdragon boss fight. Just. Minecraft.
Minecraft is just too complicated now days.
Eh, before u get mad and say "U DARN MC HATER U STUPID OLD FART GO BACK TO ALPHA GOD DAMN IT" I still like minecraft. It's still a good game. But, it doesn't have that special feeling to it. that feeling that is Minecraft.

its ENDERmen not ELDERmen, are you purposely trying to get mojang in yet another law suit with Bethesda?? god

OMG! Sparkly Diamonds all the way across the mine!
It still has that minecraft feeling. the only BAD thing in minecraft now is the world generation. that "simple game" you all loved was just an unfinished mess.

Want the blight town experience? pay someone to throw rocks at you as you tightrope across two buildings.
Want the sens fortress experience? pay someone to throw rocks at you as you tightrope across two buildings.
Want the anor londo experience? pay someone to throw rocks at you as you tightrope across two buildings.
Minecraft got boring because you played it for so long and ran out of things to do, everything got same and boring to you. Minecraft is heaps fun for new commers, but since you played it for so long it's boring to you. I suggest taking a break for a few months from the game then start playing it again to rediscover your passion towards the game.
Minecraft, The Game we Love. The game i play everyday. Building things, Placing blocks. Holy Mother of god! Now you can do more things thanks to the new updates!
The game that is fill of fun and interesting things. This Post that i am Posting now i will be talking about what is happening to Minecraft. Im just ganna cut to the chase. MINECRAFT IS BORING NOW. Sorry but what you find boring and entertaining a very personal based opinion, what if someones finds strongholds fun, should he also make a useless post about how much minecraft is great? SorrThere Is no achievment in playing minecraft now. Sure there are really cool things added like Jungles and strongholds. But its just not the same as it was back in 1.7.3 and 1.6.6 Its called evolution, minecraft is at a whole new level now, you can decide to keep in older versions and cry for the old feeling or move on and keep playing the game that is still great. In These Updates Minecraft was fun, There was Better Seeds And Chunks. Better seeds and chunks? First explain how in the hell you qualify a chunk, which is an incomplete part of the terrain that if you take all the other chunks around that chunk it would look like weird and unfinished..
Seeds Now in minecraft are boring. Like the empty Grass plains have taken over. Taking over? Use AMIDST and go to any part of the terrain, a big percentage (from 60% to more, even 90%, sometimes 100% ) is other biomes, i see deserts, snow, jungles, everywhere, You sure you arent just judging by the first 3 seconds you played in your map?
Theres not much amazing overhangs or Mountains no more. Its basically flat. Theres No weird Chunk Spawning Like Upside down mountains. The Creators of minecraft(Nothc) has Modernised it too much. The game is not flat, since 1.1 it isnt, every terrain has small mountains that can get big too, and there is a huge biome for those overhands and " upside down mountains " you talking about.
Added too many things that doesnt make minecraft.. Minecraft. I Mean really... We all miss The Seeds Gargamel, 101 And Glacier. Now every world has a small Gargamel, Glacier and 101 in it.
They Were Really fun to play on. Now when i make big structures in minecraft and look out a window. its just not the same. Please Discuss This with me. I Think Jeb Needs To add a Gamemode in minecraft that goes back to the old versions of minecraft. Please Comment Below on what you think. Keep crying, but it doesnt matter how much, this gamemode thingy will never get added.
Saying you prefer an older version over the current version is like saying : Loollzzz dlete evrytings and zhange it tu indev, Loooololo so funny!
I've had minecraft for a really long time myself and I have taken breaks. The game is in fact boring in the extent that it is now easier. Every update since the ones that added beds and charcoal has been often times about making the game easier.
Beds nullified the point of needing a large base or lighting up a huge area. Some people used to make the ground glass or single half steps so mobs wouldn't spawn.
Charcoal made torches common enough you can spam them easily.
Many bug fixes mean less death by gliches like being set on fire when you aren't touching lava
Fire used to be awesome and deadly, Being set on fire used to be an almost sure death if you weren't at high health
Tools were made to dig faster and have higher durability (Enchant raises that even higher). In older versions I often was using STONE tools because iron was less common. Ores like iron are also now everywhere.
The new mob ai is some ways is even easier then the old ai. Namely its more predictable, mobs will often get stuck on cliffs, now mobs far away don't move, creepers don't blow if skeletons hit them (making getting discs super easy)
Potions, 8 minutes of total fire immune, even in the nether's lava ocean (enough said)
Speaking of lava, it now has sound. So you are warned beforehand.
So much more I'm tired of listing it.
These threads come up all the time, because its true. Its not the people. Its the game, its been made super easy for everyone. But this game does NOT need to be easy since it has creative mode.

So, who's forcing you to play the game again? So you like losing all your **** you worked for in lava? If you need charcoal for torches you need to stop strip mining and go caving.
I play hardcore mode. I never die and lava doesn't kill me. Last month I fell into the nether's ocean, but I have fire potions.
When I went to the end I have so much spare iron because its so common now. I built a small army of iron golems to fight the endermen while I attacked the dragon.
Even though this guy types like a kindergartner, I agree with him on some points. The seeds are very bland now and basically every world is identical. The terrain has less variety than ever. However, I don't think they should make an option so you can go to a previous version. That's what MCnostalgia is for. I enjoy the new features. I enjoy hunger, enchantments, brewing, etc, but I hate the way the terrain is. I haven't been playing Minecraft because of it.

This seems to be the case most of the time but I can see how it's not. I've been playing minecraft since alpha. Took a 3 month or so break until the release came out. Played for 3 days and got bored. And it was because of the terrain, nothing more.

Well, maybe your nostalgia took over, or perhaps you simply mastered Minecraft to the level which it will never be the same to you. I suggest using mods, custom maps and playing on servers to keep playing Minecraft a fun experience, s'what I do at least.

Nope. Can't stand to play on an earlier version where I'm missing out on new features. The terrain generation is just repetitive. Once you've seen one part of your world, you've seen it all. I'm trying to find the right mod, but I'm hoping Jeb will fix this.

There are tons of mods which add old terrain generation to the game while keeping the current new features, just keep on searching and you'll find a good one, and I hope it helps you play minecraft with more enjoyment.

It's evolving to a better game.
Bored?
Don't play it for a while and come back to it - it'll be fun again.
Like I said in a similar thread: you're just suffering from a case of nostalgia.
If it really bothers you, download MCNostalgia.
