When you look at minecraft, theres only one thing thats originated completely from minecraft. Thats the creeper. We need a new minecraft mob originating from minecraft completely. I have several ideas for new mobs.
Heres some:
Blocuru:
A mob thats basically a block. It can be any block, apart from bedrock. They stay completely still, and wait for you to get close. When approached little blocky legs will sprout out and rarely blocky wings. They will run away as soon as they reveal themselves, or rather fly away. Its limbs will look like the block its disguised as. These will be tameable buddies, you must tame them with 30 blocks of whatever its posing as. (If its disguised as a grass block both dirt and grass blocks will work.) These will always be still at night, if you try to shovel/mine them at night they will attack you by jumping at you and charging. When tamed it will have a red cape (Jealous, eh? i ran out of ideas, it couldnt have a collar). This cape will be small, nearly half a block small. It will appear to bite mobs when attacking, it will defend you when its tamed. Yes, it has a dark, small blocky mouth with some white fangs inside.
Chert: A strang rare creature that often sneaks into builds and villagers houses. They would be small yellow insects that scurry around with many small grey legs. Its body would be octagonal, with many blocky bumps on it. It would be about 1 to 2 blocks big. These would look around houses and often jump in furnaces and chests. Squeaks can be heard from them, and these would often be heard from chests and furnaces theyre hiding in. If you look in a chest/furnace with a chert in it they would jump out and run off. At night they become hostile. They simply attack by charging. If you attack these at day they would attempt to escape. Often they will climb up walls like spiders, but they would stay up walls to escape you. When killed they will drop buttons, levers, pressure plates or rarely redstone dust, to show theyve been taking things from chests. (They never actually take things from your chests, only rarely they take things from village chests)
Lodarok:
These will wonder around basins and sometimes in caves. It will have legs sprouting from the side of its body, which are bent halfway so it can walk. It would have two, dented, rocky arms resembling cobblestone. These would be long, like iron golems. It would have bright yellow eyes. These would be a new neutral mob, at day they sometimes attack and at night theyre slow and will often close their eyes and stand still. They would have about 20 hearts, seeing as theyre rocks. To attack they would swing their arms sideways and will knock you to the side, depending on which way they swing. They would drop stone, cobblestone, coal ore and rarely iron ore. These would sometimes have visible ore block patterns on them.
Scolps:
These would be a large, dark blue scorpion-like creature with two heads. Instead of one pincer on its tail an arm would be sticking out, this may be holding a sword or a bow. This creature would attack you with a bow or a sword, depending on what item it has. It can use the bow to hit you from a distance. When carrying a sword it will be a stone sword. If attacked with a sword it will deal the same amount of damage stone swords normally do. Same with bows. This mob will drop rotten flesh and rarely a stone sword or a bow. It would have thin, brown eyes. It would have 3 eyes. This would have 6 legs, not including the arm. This would normally spawn in water and rarely spawn on land. It is immune to drowning. This thing is very fast in water but has the same speed as the player on land. Rarely these will spawn with skeletons riding them, proving skeletons seem to like insect-like creatures. Scolp jockeys will only spawn if the scolp has no weapon or only a sword. EDIT: Spawn rates would be low, a bit lower than endermen and as low as spider jockeys, since theyre a bit OP.
(If it doesnt have a weapon it will just charge at you.)
Well this took a lot of hard thinking for these ideas, so thanks for viewing and suggest some things that need to be improved on.

Scolps? I think it would be darn cool if Minecraft added a scorpion! Just try to keep the spawn rate low! xD
I'm not sure how you can turn this into a idea, but there should be a mob that there's a 5% chance that it will eat your sword with it being wood, and 1% chance being rock.
If you draw a layout of what you want the mobs to look like, I could whip out my modeling program, and make a idea of what they should look like
Bloccuru: I think this would be a little buggy after a while, maybe have them whisper every so often for a warning there's a mob.
2nd One: Draw this one also, and I'll love modeling this, Thinking of a name should be just simply Boulder ^^ KEep up the suggestions oUo

Thanks for the suggestions. If you could make those images of the mobs that would be epic. I'll edit my topic a bit and maybe add a new mob. If you make models of the mobs i'll try and put pics up. (Im terrible at it so people may have to help)
