So lets begin
Some of you think money update in minecraft will be epic, especially if the money (currency) in minecraft is relative with the real world. I got some words to you, I DONT THINK SO
I once think the same, but after i watch matpat (you tuber on game theory) about how much a diamond armor will cost in real world
with bla bla bla, because the colour and etc, ( just look at the youtube, ) the total cost for a diamond armor set in real world is !
88,188,759.98$ ._.
See how much ? Now i will try to read your mind, you will think "What the problem? so if its expensive, so what?" ( if not, than never mind the quote )
Well, lets look at this :
Iron stck (64 ingots) in minecraft would cost 3000-5000$
Gold stack in minecrft would cost 7000$ or less
Now... all you need is a diamond set, you can get unlimited iron and gold lol, so, NEVER ADD MONEY TO MINECRAFT WITH RELATIVENESS TO REAL WORLD ( sorry for caps )
Suggestion :
>. Add the price of emerald, villagers trades arent so good when it come to emerald for item ( arent so good ? are you kidding me ? they are junk !) but never ever add money to minecraft ._. that will be super unbalanced
so, yeah mods is ok, but if minecraft update money in here.... meh
Villager trades aren't supposed to be for turning in emeralds for stuff. They're supposed to be for... uh... trading. They're a medium for transportation of value. You give a villager wheat for an emerald, you give the emerald to another villager for books, and you've traded wheat for books. Also, trades procedurally get better as you develop better relationships with villagers, and it can get really overpowered quick.

But hey, thts just a theory
I'm 99% sure Mojang won't add currency that correlates to RL currency on a 1-for-1 basis into the game... not the style of the game.

I have to agree with jcm2606 on this one. I don't think they will add real money in Minecraft. I think what they meant by that is carrying around the money in game(you don't have to pay for it, it probably works like a economy plugin) maybe instead of currency that servers have.

By 'they' do you mean Mojang or the OP?

I mean if minecraft add virtual money with the same price at real life money, i mean your money is obtain able, and it can be used to trade with villager, but the villager will have their own mind, and sell items like the same price of real life money x.x not that we buy virtual money for real life money

Ah, i want to milk some cow, maybe gonna snatch the princess later o3o
Anyways, emeralds are fairly balanced as they are now. It takes some effort, but not too much, in order to trade. That's good enough. While I can agree that adding real money is bad, I don't think mojang would do that anyways.

So ultimately this does not have my support.
