So I've been pondering over this for quite some time. Once we catch up to the pc edition, where will we go from there? Will we branch out and create new mobs and blocks and biomes, or will we wait for the pc to make the move?
If you were wondering what is in the tu12 update that is making us so close to the pc, here you go:
Who said we ever will?
Or that they should?
They are two different versions after all.
I remember when 4J said we will be going to the PC equivalent of 1.3 and then going our own way.
These are two different games, this is Minecraft; Xbox 360 Edition, not Minecraft on the Xbox.
HUGE difference.

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
I am just saying that if we do copy the pc, what will be new to the xbox that wont be seen on pc.
Isn't that kind of self-contradictory? "If we're the same as the PC, what will be different?"
(things from the PC version I'd like to see on the XBox: farm animals that don't clip/jump out of their freaking pens! I've taken to keeping my sheep underground just to keep them)
Even if we do fallow PC we wont catch up there will always been new updates on PC they are not going to stop working on PC just to catch up xbox. Minecraft will keep getting new mobs/bocks until they run out of ideas.

No youre getting this wrong. What I really mean is what will happen when we decide to branch away from the pc, what will be different?
I'm hoping we get some new mobs, maybe some new biomes or blocks, and maybe some different game modes. I really want hoppers and stuff from the redstone update too.

That is indeed a confusing and contradictory question. (Or sentence, I guess, since it doesn't contain a question mark.)
In regards to your rephrased question, nobody knows what future updates will bring to Xbox Minecraft. We may see some things that PC has, or we may get unique content, or (most likely) both. Anything until then is just rumors and speculation.
4J Studios work pretty fast when it comes to small things in the game like enchanting and kinda brewing. 1.0.1 is a example of that. But when It comes to coding a new biome that's takes longer. I just hope along with their own updates their are some implements from PC.
I feel like we've been forgotten almost.... forget the Xbox One for now, Mojang should let the console settle, like they did for the 360. I mean they could be working on the Minecraft Xbox One Edition, but the should prioritize the 360 Edition a bit before the One Edition. But based on the Minecraft Wiki, and I will assume at least some of the stuff on there is legit, But it seems that the Xbox 360 Edition has a Bright future ahead.
I think the xbox version will still follow the pc version fairly closely. There may be some differences that branch off of the pc version, but in the end many of the additions to the pc version are additions that people want in the game so it only makes sense that people want those for the xbox version as well.
Maybe a new mob or something that xbox version puts out first. Then of course the pc version will likely follow with the same mob, so in the end they would remain similar (if the xbox version can ever catch up to the pc version).

I am quoting indirectly from 4J here, I do not have the link or exact words, but I can rough it up a bit.
"After Minecraft; Xbox 360 edition has reached to the PC equivalent of 1.3, it will go its' own way, any highly demanded things will be brought to the xbox 360 edition after that point and we will also add many exclusives."

Version: noun.
"a particular form of something differing in certain respects from an earlier form or other forms of the same type of thing"

He didn't get anything wrong. He responded to exactly what you wrote. These are your exact words (bolding mine)...

Hey, novel idea.
Swing by the Suggestions sub-forum and see what people are suggesting.
