If 1 gold account downloads Minecraft can other profiles play with out the gold acct being the primary player? I downloaded the game for my family with my gold acct but they can't play the full game on their on profiles. What can they do to play the full game and not the demo without me signing in and without buying the game?
Not trying to cheat the system just save them some cash.
If they do not have a gold account, they will only be able to play the game offline unless the gold account is signed in as player 1. I'm not sure if "offline" is what you mean by "demo"; but I play offline all the time without a gold account signed into the Xbox. However, the account information on the Microsoft website states that only gold accounts and online guests of the gold account are entitled to play games online. I'm not sure how it might work differently if you have a family gold account.
I downloaded MC360 onto my Xbox and my brother can play freely anytime on his account. I don't understand the problem with your game... maybe it has something to do with you having a gold membership, I'd suggest taking this down to Xbox Support.
The system is stupid. I bought it for my family, all on the same console, and they can't play it unless I sign in and load the game first. So, boot up your profile, load up Minecraft, then sign yourself out and whoever you want into the player 1 spot. Then they can play by themselves, online or off, without you being signed in.
The only thing making me do that did was teach me how to run free copies of the game. Way to go Microsoft! Idiots....

How dare Microsoft try to run a business.
I recently read a report that said Microsoft makes basically no money from their Xbox division of their company. They either break even on it or go into the red a little, but it isn't a large money maker for them in term of how much it costs.
I have ahold account but my family just plays offline all the time and I downloaded it to keep them all entertained but they can't play the full game. When ever they try to start a game it goes straight to the tutorial.

There are two options to generate a new map: 1) Create New World and 2) Play Tutorial. "Create New World" should be the very top option on the list where their games are displayed. It sounds like they are not creating a new world, but continuing to play in the tutorial world instead. If they've started several tutorial worlds, they may have to scroll up the list in order to see the "Create New World" option.
It should be that you can play any downloaded content (game or dlc) on more than one Xbox. Where ever the profile that downloaded it originally is, it can be played as long as they are signed into Xbox live. It should also be playable by anyone on the console it was originally downloaded on(or where the license was transferred if the license transfer thing was used). So basically, if you're only dealing with one Xbox, it should be working.

Once you downloaded other players can play the game even if your not logged in. There are a few limits though.
If the Gold account is logged in and starts the game as an On-line game then non-gold members will not be able to play.
When a map is created by a player it is only available to other players if the creator starts the game. Even though all players are on the same Xbox to can't play a map created by another player unless they load the map.
What works for me, Is.
If you have a main Xbox lets say in the living room. As long as the profile that buys MC downloads it on that
Xbox Initially. Then any gamertag already on, OR created after the fact can use MC with no problems..
The main GT that bought the game can redownload it on any Xbox. But lets say you now redownload it to the
bedroom Xbox NO GTs in that xbox will have access to the Full game except for the main one.

Agree - however, proviso on your first point - non-gold members may play in an online game while the gold member is playing if designated as a "Guest" of the gold member through Live. "Guest" profiles are temporary, so advise the guest player to put their inventory in a chest prior to leaving the game since the game wil not save their inventory.
