Okay, I've seen a lot of posts with this error, but I can never find any solutions. I can't seem to get Biomes O' Plenty to work on a server at all. It works fine in single player, but in multiplayer, none of the biomes generate, as it just generates vanilla biomes, and when I try to spawn mod items in creative, they don't work and disappear. I have done every single thing that it has said to do. I've changed level-type to BIOMESOP, set add biomes to default world to true, added the forge files to Minecraft.jar, but nothing has worked. I am on a mac, using the latest version of Biomes O' Plenty, and currently using Minecraft forge 0.842. My server properties are listed below:
Try deleting the "world" folder and regenerating the world. This happens a lot to me and it's because I usually generate the server at least once before actually getting the mod installed.
Leave everything else, just delete the world folder. Assuming you are starting a fresh server that is. If that doesn't work, set add biomes to default world to false and delete the world folder and regenerate the world again.

Ok, I created a folder named mods and put Biomes O' Plenty in it. I deleted the world and generated a new one, started the server, and it didn't work. Here's the Multiplayer Server log:
It seems you do not have forge installed and that is why it is not working do get forge just download the installer from files.minecraftforge.net and run that hit install server and then have your server run the forge universal it should work then as just creating a folder called "mods" will not work.
correct me if I said anything wrong xD
I have a similar problem, I have the mod installed (Biomes O' Plenty, and Mekanism for that matter) On my client and so do my friends and they worked in single player however when I installed them on my server neither of them work. I'm not sure how to fix it but whenever I download Biomes O' Plenty It is a .jar file and you need a .RAR or .Zip file I think to make it work on a server. If anyone has an Idea how to fix this please let me know, it is very frustrating.
By not working I mean no biome generation and for Mekanism none of the ores generate so I can't make anything. Any and all Ideas are appreciated.
To get biomes o plenty working on a server you need to generate the world on single player then go to %appdata%roaming.minecraft take the world you just generated on biomes o plenty generation delete the world in your server then put that world into your server rename it World then startup your server it should then generate on biomes o plenty.

Hello I have BOP installed in my mods folder for the server along with a bunch of other mods, but for some reason the server doesn't install it? BOP works fine on singleplayer, but on the server the items from BOP don't even show up when searched for with NEI.. does anyone know why it is not installing? Thanks

Is there something that I'm not doing? Please post any solutions and I thank you for any help.

That's what he means, yes. Can you launch the server and post your startup log please?
Paving the way to a better world!
Is there anything specific that I had to do?
Server/config/biomesoplenty/terraingen.cfg - if you are in trouble, use search.
try launching that other .jar named
MinecraftForge-universal-..............jar
Given you actualy installed forge on server too. And mods ofcourse...

I found something about in Spartan Host. I'll hope it can help you.
How to Generate a World with Biomes O' Plenty
The following guide explains how to generate a world with the Biomes O' Plenty mod if it doesn't by default, in a modpack that contains the mod.
Open the /config/biomesoplenty/terraingen.cfg file via FTP (Files -> FTP File Access). Add the following line above the final '}':
B:"Add Biomes To Default World"=true
After doing so, go to the server.properties file in the root FTP directory and set level-type AND generator-settings to 'BIOMESOP'.
Finally, delete your world folder via FTP while the server is stopped then start it again and your world should be generated with Biomes O' Plenty.
