Well, recently on my server i got this message "[WARNING] Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded?" and with that the lag comes really high.
If you have a solution please tell me...
My pc specifications are:
AMD Phenom X4 9850 Black Edition 2.5 GHz
4 GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 3650
How many people are on the server? Since you gave your specs, im assuming its locally hosted? If yes, 4gb ram can only hole about 5-8 people, including you if you play on the same PC.

Minecraft server alone will strain that system. Running the client and server on that machine will strain your system as a whole. Server is best run on a dedicated computer or a server.RAM alone wont help too much.
I have the same problem! But heres the thing... I can join but it says the [WARNING] thing and Im still in the server but other people can't join, I have tried useing my internal ip adress and it works for me but other people can't join it. I don't know what my RAM is and i dont know how to check it please help.
I dont know why my server doesn't work either. It says right after i start it that the server cant keep up even though there isn't anyone on! Please help me fix this!
