Then you use the local IP. Open the cmd on the server computer, type "ipconfig" and look for a IPv4 address. That is what others in your LAN will use.
If you type in "LOCALHOST" for server ip that will do the same :smile.gif:
It will not for this test. By using the IP, it will send the packets to the router, then send them back. This can test to see if the computer is dropping said packets. By using localhost, it does not do that.
If you want to "PLAY", use localhost, to see if the computer is dropping packets, use the ip in the "ipconfig"
If you want to find internal IP address to follow the instructions: Start--->run-->Type cmd Then command prompt will display. type ipconfig then it will display your system ip addressIf you want to know your Network(External) IP address then visit IP-Details.com
and people cant seem to connect and ive tried many ip's and i need to know how to find the right one so people can connect to my server
