put the launcher.bat in the same folder as the bukkit.jar and double click the launcher
Thank you very much for your help..
Do you happen to know a place to find the vanilla one for linux ? (i must have forgot to mention i wanted to test the vanilla version.. I may switch to bukkit since my server is down anyway for eating too much memory since update 1.7.3 + ubuntu update)
You can't get the vanilla version because its illegal is distribute copywrited software. But bukkit is essentially vanilla with a mod API enabled
oh, thats too bad, will teach me to keep all server .jar files for the futurs, i dont really see a problem about illegal distribution when you dont alter the product itself..

I doubt there is a "%ProgramFiles%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" in the file system of Linux Ubuntu by the way

Regardless of how you see it or what you believe about the unaltered product, if you live within any country that enforces copyrights, you can get in a world of legal crap.

If I want to get in a world full of legal crap, i'll just rename my next project "Scrolls" and wait for the **** storm! :smile.gif:
Btw.. a big thank you Phync .. you pointed me in the right direction with your comments and nothing is more satisfying than a smooth working server and stop spending hours on config and setup and actually play the damn game.
Is there a link or someone that can up me the Minecraft server jar (for ubuntu) of the version 1.7.2 please ?
Its so small, im pretty sure it could be found somewhere (so far, no luck on google)
