This happens whether I use either the in browser client or the downloaded one, after anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes it will crash I can't get anything productive done and it's making me grumpy!
I've uninstalled, reinstalled, removed java, readded java, everything I can think of. Please help?
Update your video drivers. Update DirectX. If the problem persists, right click the executable Minecraft file and, under the compatibility tab, run it in Windows XP (Service Pack 3) mode. The cause of many of these crashes are due to an interaction with the program and DirectX. I hope this fixes your problem!

I have had this happen a few times, I usually reboot, or reallocate more java, you can try it but its an assumption > bat file
@ECHO OFF
java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar "minecraft.exe"

1024 is the java amount so i would put about 512

edit3:
enable vsync under graphic's control panel "within your computer not minecraft" than try playing
I believe you are under ram because minecraft (to run decent needs a good chunk of it)
edit4:
good, has it crashed quickly now? this should eliminate less stress also try setting vsync under herts within the graphics panel of your computer not minecraft. (ensures 60fps and less spiking)
edit5:
ok, well i got to go because I gotta work tomorrow but feel free to message me, actually ill message you to help you till this is resolved
there is a mailbox at the top, also minecraft has its flaws ill help you be able to play it in no time
If you have a laptop with a Mobility Radeon, you may need to use this tool to mod the driver before installation: http://www.hardwareh...com/modtool.php

"1024 is the Java amount"
Are you referring to Java as in coffee, and in liters? I don't think that's healthy.
It's called the allocated RAM, learn your stuff.

he already upgraded his system, also I meant ram I was pretty tired at 3am, I also asked him to do that to see if it was a java issue.
Yep, I was just about to post my stock "# C 0x000084c1" error when I scrolled down and saw that someone had cut'n'pasted my comment.
The good news is that the 9600 is supported by 10.2, so this should fix your crash problem. (You will almost certainly need to use the mobility modder to get that Catalyst to install, so follow those links)
Do NOT increase your default memory for minecraft as you are in trouble in this area already, in fact you may want to experiment with some options to decrease the default heap.
I've uninstalled, reinstalled, removed java, readded java, everything I can think of. Please help?

Edit:
after doing some research its a common thing,
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1149413-minecraft-crashes-when-i-try-to-join-a-server/
any mods installed at all?
"start javaw -Xmx256M -Djava.library.path=bin/natives -cp bin/minecraft.jar;bin/jinput.jar;bin/lwjgl.jar;bin/lwjgl_util.jar net.minecraft.client.Minecraft tyroxoid and *********"
But the problem persists.
Edit: no mods installed, also I seem to have run out of posts for the day.
Edit2: It's not that quick of a crash. i get to play for a few seconds - minutes, then it just closes, gone, shut off.
Edit3: Positive, I'm just playing single player, I have the starting of a house. and I can't get more than a few steps at a time.
Edit4: I Have the render distance set to tiny and all additional graphics set to minimal or off.
Edit5: No luck on that. I'll try the OptiFine.
Edit6: No luck on that either. I really hope I didn't waste 30 bucks.
are you sure its not when you attempt to login?
as I previously said
its common among logging in
http://www.minecraft...-join-a-server/
edit:
Give me a second
edit2:
try putting render distance under far, like short
or
try optifine http://www.minecraft...-and-much-more/

enable vsync under graphic's control panel "within your computer not minecraft" than try playing
