Hey I am wondering if there is a way to get an older version of minecraft?
I was using 1.1 for the longest time because I use alot of mods and was going to update after I saw IC2 updated thier mod, but 30 mins prior to this Mojang decided to update MC to 1.2.4 and I am looking for 1.2.3 since none of the mods work on the new one yet.. Anyway it would be awesome if someone can help me out..
It's against the Terms of Use to redistribute the main game jar. MC Nostalgia is the only legit way i know of for downgrading if you havent made backups yourself. too bad it hasnt updated for 1.2.4 yet. Shouldn't be too long though.
Yes you do. Windows has it hidden by default because you shouldn't need to access it on any sort of normal condition. Quickest way in would be to type %appdata% in Windows Explorer's address/location bar, or Vista/7's searchbox in the start menu.

NOTE: This is not a clean copy, at the least it has TooManyItems mod installed. Im not sure what other mods it may have. Since I use that mod its no big deal for me, but you guys might want a clean copy.

That only works if you've been makign the backups in the first place.
