Hello everyone! Usually everyday I login to minecraft, load up my map and start playing. Now, while its true I most play Single player.. I do like to play with my wife as well when we get the chance too. So the issue I have is, I can't login to my account and go online, since for some reason it says "Too many failed login attempts". My firewall already allows this game.. My PC isn't the issue neither, yet here are my specs:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 661 @ 3.33GHz (6 CPUs), ~3.3GHz
Memory:
6096MB RAM
Hard Drive:
750 GB
Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce GT 240
So, with those out of the way, Is there anyway to fix this?
too many fail login attempts is that you login with a wrong password too many time, maybe someone is trying to hack your account :dry.gif:
That would be horrible if someone were to try.. I could change my password right now, just to help prevent it. Yet, I haven't downloaded anything suspicious or anything to those sorts. Do you have any clue on how long until the account can be released from the failed attempts so I can freely login?

Though a hack is a viable problem, I've seen this error fixed by simply restarting your computer.

Well, I have tried restarting a couple of times after updating a few things. I even deleted the .minecraft folder, Just in case I had goofed on installing a mod or similar to this. Sadly, nothing as of yet to change that. Thanks for the advice though.

While, I could agree its possible anywhere to get such a virus/trojan/key logger. I haven't downloaded anything out of the ordinary that I usually have on my PC, I even ran a few virus scan programs, Just to find out if anything was infact in there. According to them, Nothing was to be reported.
I'm currently having this problem as well. Had my account since accounts were available for purchase, and today I get this error. Wonder what it is.
I'm having the same problem. Was sitting in my cactus farm, got disconnected, and with correct pw I couldn't get in. Now it says too many log in attempts :sad.gif:
edit: left it alone for a while, changed my pw, and it changed to Failed Login. tried a few times, now I'm back to too many log in attempts =/
