I already read the sticky, not much good info.
I get like 20-30 fps and I lag really bad if I set off a nuke(industrial craft)
I have good hardware(i5 2500k, geforce gtx 560 overclocked, fatal1ty mobo, 8gb ram(I can put in another 8 to make 16), etc.
But I still get crap fps. Can anyone help me please:(?

Btw, this is on tiny, and fast graphics.
Try to use Optifine (http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/249637-181-optifine-hd-b-fps-boost-hd-textures/) Go to video settings and set it all to help you Max FPS. Also do
1:Set fog to the lowest setting.
2:Change Graphics to 'Fast'
3:Make Advanced OpenGL 'Fast'
4:Make the Gui Scale the smallest possible (helps a little)
For me not using Optifine #1 is the most important.

The worst I can say, I didnt read the thread or anything, however there are many things I try to do to increase performance...
In general I look at minecraft as a process intensive game. We see it as using processing graphics and RAM, for certain events and procedures. Lets think how we can improve these 3 things.
World analysis, especially in singleplayer, requires a TON of processing. In other words, creating a world requires a lot of thinking. When in multiplayer the server creates the surroundings. However, in singleplayer, the world is being rendered and created at the same time. When you modify a block it is also being changed in the world file. Therefore its twice as difficult to run singleplayer (at least from my observations).
So find a server is the best answer while dealing with that.
High resolution screens along with full screen ends up destroying any potential speed. Originally I played minecraft at its standard resolution in the browser, it increases speed by a ton.
You didn't mention if you were running background programs either. These can have an effect (especially viruses and virus scans you might not notice).
Graphically, the only thing that might effect you would be the textures. If you have what most people have, a built-in graphics card into your computer, you should just keep it standard resolution textures. If you have a graphics card this is what it is used for. However, these resolutions end up taking up a ton of dedicated memory, just for each block. Unlike in other official games, it doesnt give you a recommended or a minimum.
RAM I dont think yo uhave issues with, if you have an i5 and all, you must have 8 gigs, and i only use 2 gigs at the most while playing minecraft.
By the way, just because you have an i5 doesnt mean it is fast as hell. It could actually be slower than other processors on desktops. I would assume its a laptop you are on, just like me :tongue.gif:
