We have 2 computers. One is hosting the server, and we think it's strong enough to host the server and play on it at the same time, and the other is just connecting to it.
We've downloaded the server, configured it, and now all we have to do is connect.
These computers are both in the same network, so I'm using the internal IP to connect.
However, when I try, it says:
Connection Lost
Failed to login: Bad login
When trying to connect to the server on the computer that is hosting it, he's typing in "localhost" and the same error appears.
The server does know that we're trying to connect to it; when I try to log in, it lists my IP and says that I failed to log in.
The computer hosting the server is using Windows 7 and I'm using Windows Vista.
Why can't we connect? More importantly, how can we fix it?
I can't get canyouseeme.org to work, it keeps saying the connection timed out. However, when I go to yougetsignal, which does the same thing, it says the port is closed, which is confusing, since at this point we have port forwarded many, many times.

Hey, I'm back. I ate lunch. The are only two things that could be happening here. The first is that you messed up port forwarding, and the second is that something is blocking you from port forwarding. This is where I once again recommend Teamviewer so I can help you guys out.

I have not heard of Teamviewer before. I'm assuming it's a thing that lets you view other people's screens. I'll download it.

He says that he "can't get it to work."
Let me see what I can do
If you have trouble port forwarding, I could help you over Teamviewer.

Ok, I just port forwarded, although he claims that he already did so three times today, and I'm still getting the same errors. :\

Do I need to change over to the computer that's hosting the server? WOAH WOAH WAIT am I or am I not supposed to port forward on both computers?
(Also should it be "canyouseemee" with two e's or should it be "canyouseeme")
It keeps saying that it "could not see my service" on the port because the connection timed out.
