I recently bought fraps and I got about 150-200 fps while recording! But with Bandicam I get 30-50 fps.
I havnt tried camtasia so I might get it tho. I posted this to hear your guys opinions on screen recorders wich is better or which is really bad. I wNt something really good. Fraps is a little bit blurry is there a way to fix that since I bought it I will probably stick with it. But I want higher resolution.
Listen, neither of these recorders are any good. Fraps is the best of the worst. If you really want a good screen recorder, try Mirillis Action! http://mirillis.com/en/products/action.html This recorder records in HD with no lag, with Perfect PlayBack quality. No grains, No blur, just perfection.

Here
this recorder is extremely light weight, and professional quality
My recommendation is the paid version of Bandicam, because it obeys me-If I want to record a certain way, it lets me. It has a game capture setting as well as a setting for recording a selected area of the screen (the rectangle is adjustable). The quality of the video output is great, which is impressive considering that it also compresses them down quite a lot as well (A 15-minute video recorded with Bandicam only takes up about 515 megabytes, while a 10-minute video with Fraps takes up 9 gigabytes.) while still maintaining the previously mentioned good quality. It was also impressive how my computer could handle it, because my computer is TERRIBLE.
But, if you want to stick to something free, I recommend OBS. It is long and tedious to get the settings you want, but after setup, it's pretty easy to record your videos.

Action!, Dixtory, OBS, Bandicam are all feasible tools you can make a video. Fraps works also great but it takes up a lot of CPU so that you video quality will be quite blurry. One web-based application named ShowMore is what I consider as the best recorder. It covers many powerful features and video will be published in a nice quality.
